Did you claim any dependents? If not that's more than enough income.

No, i did not. But I was a little confused about the poverty guideline for my fiance and I. I thought it was around 19K.

Thank you Ethline for your answer! At least I get a better understanding on the whole NVC part timeline lol What kind of paperwork should I start gathering or ask my fiance to collect before we actually get to the preparing for the interview part? Thank you! Just want to get a head start!

For AOS you will need the 19k for K1 it's around 15 and change.

You can. PCs are usually valid at least 6 months, more commonly 1 year.

Always check in your country first though - for me it´s only three months for some of the forms I need, so I am having to wait pretty close to the interview date.

But on the plus side I can just show up and go get it the same day (Austria).

Hi everybody! I just read that my fiance has to get police certificates from the country of residnece and any additional ones from the country he lived for more than 6 months. Could you please tell me what timeframe is that based on? Do you guys know if that applies to any country that he has lived for more than 6 months? Or is that just over a certain age? Thanks a lot!

Yes she does that guide you are using is for form I-864 she is for AOS. For K1 I-134 is required and for that you would need 100 percent of the poverty level. Anyways hope you get your case number soon.

Thanks again Ethline :) I'll keep you guys posted of course!

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but you do not need a police certificate from the U.S. if your fiance has lived in the U.S. for more than 6 months. That was the case with mine and I had to do a bit of researching.

My case hasn't left NVC. Arrived 4/7, case number assigned 4/10. And it's still there. I don't understand.

:(

What? Are you serious. I honestly thought that you just hadn't updated you account. I'm so sorry to hear this. I am over here going crazy out of my mind today is my birthday and it kills me that 207 days after filling my petition I am still without my love. I know I should feel grateful that I am at least out of TSC but in a way it's very little comfort. I mean those that file in California in December and January of this year are with there love ones already. I know very well there's still plenty of people who filed before me that are still waiting to get out of TSC and I just feel sick to my stomach about it but still I am so frustrated today.
