Hello everybody. My fiance is a Florida resident, but is currently living in Louisiana (working there, lives with his cousin) and is about to rent a place for us when I get there.

We were preparing affidavit of support yesterday and we put his Florida address in the form. Do any of you think we might get in trouble during the interview because he actually lives outside his state of residence?

There is nothing wrong with living outside your state of residence.

Just reporting that I received the offical I-797 in the mail. Two things jumped out to me: 1. It says "listed consulate" but there is none. 2. A few paragraphs but nothing about what the next steps

I don't know when exactly mine was assigned - I called today and immediately checked ceac and the status was available.

my case got sent to the NVC!!!!! I feel like 7 months of suffering were worth it lol.. makes this next phase a lot more fun

Well, our interview is tomorrow night (usa time). I'm a complete nervous wreck. I've quadruple checked the paperwork and I think we are good to go.

The extremely unlikely chance of them saying no is making me lose my absolute mind though. I know it's silly to think that. We've done everything right. All the paperwork is good. We are quite obviously in a real relationship.

Still scary.

Approved. really easy if you are prepared. Only questions I can remember was, whether I had ever been arrested, whether I had ever been denied entry to the U.S., and whether I had ever lived in another country.

We arrived at 6:45, second in line, entered at 7:30 number 1 for K1, and were out by 8:45.

They will take cell phone at the door if you bring one. We didn't.

So I ~finally have an interview date! September 16th, 2015 at the US Consulate in Montreal.

I'm just waiting to hear back on my medical appointment.

I'm not sure why - but I am so nervous and anxious about all of this. Has anyone else felt like this? I mean, at this point, it's all happening and it's good and we're where we've been longing to be and I thought the anxiety and stress would have left the moment I received an interview date but holy moly, not really. Haha.

[ Spring 2005 ] Met online, in-game (WoW)

[ February 2012 ] Finally admitted our true feelings after years of staying hush hush!

[ March 22, 2012 ] Made things official!

[ April 13, 2012 ] Met for the first time in real life and fell in love!

[ July 8, 2014 ] Got engaged!

[ September 10, 2014 ] Filled out paper work

[ September 19, 2014 ] Receipt Date

[ September 23, 2014 ] NOA1

And after 246 hellish days (8+ months) of being trapped in TSC purgatory....

[ May 27, 2015 ] NOA2 :)

[ September 16, 2015 ] Interview at the US Consulate in Montreal!

Woohooo we got approved on 3rd August 2015... the interviewer swore me in, took my fingerprints and only asked me basic questions... his name what he does and if we have a wedding planned. I was also asked if i met his family and if i ever met them. If i ever been to the states and thats about it. She said to wait 2 weeks to get paperwork back and i got my chest xray CD . It has taken almost 11 months! Sheesh!

She didnt ask to see anything in my evidence file i bought with me.

Congrats! Yes you can track it with your case number, it's taking about 5 working days at HCMC to get the visa!
