I wish it was 4 business days :( my fiance's interview was June 2nd and tomorrow would make it two weeks. The consulate said it would arrive in two weeks to 20 days but we are still in Administrative Processing. I'm just worried that they didn't print the visa out before June 9th.. I don't know how that whole process works but we still have some wiggle time so we will just wait and see.

just don't buy any tickets until you have the visa. lol. I know it sounds obvious, but many people don't listen and they are pissed off that their visas aren't ready in time for their flight.

So looking over my documents I just realized that they didn't ask for the affidavit of support, should I be worried?

This is honestly the last thing I need right now arghh...

Thanks in advance

Every embassy has it's own requirements, but I'd be really surprised if it wasn't one. It's not listed in the Packet 3 at all?

It's *really* easy to fill out either way.

I completed one I just don't remember them asking for it... Should i send one over and have my fiancee take it to the embassy, or i should probably call right?

What you should do is relax. Your fiance was approved. If anything was missing that would make them unable to render a decision you would have been notified.

I paid my visa fee and booked my interview as soon as I found out what my case number was, which was about a week ago. Granted, I got an email from my embassy saying they can't interview me if they haven't received my case, but they let me keep my date. So I've had it for about a week and the embassy received my case today.

My case was sent to Embassy since 5 June but I haven't heard any information from them.

Would you like to send me the Embassy link In Vietnam ?

Thanks for your response

http://hochiminh.usconsulate.gov/contact/ivinquiries.html

This is the actual link they put in the letter for the packet 3: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/hochiminh/231771/PDFs/K-INSTRUCTION.pdf

You'll still want to email them and get an email copy of the letter though.

Went with my fiance for her interview in Warsaw, Poland today. Approved! Very easy quick interview. Most questions were actually for me as the US citizen petitioner because I live with my fiance in Poland. I provided a job offer to show in serious about reestablishing domicile which made the officer very happy. She was incredibly nice and professional. Took maybe 5 minutes after nearly 3 hours of waiting.

As for when the visa would be ready the officer said they simply don't know but in the past when they've had similar problems it was sorted out in a week or so and then they had to work through the backlog. She said the whole embassy is on red alert to get everything done as soon as possible once the technical problems are fixed. She said if things are dragging and we don't have the visa soon to call and get updates of we'd like. She was very relaxed about the situation and made it sound like the wait would be longer than normal (which is normally 2-5 days for Warsaw) but not that long. I mentioned we wanted to leave in 2 weeks and she said she really can't say if it will be done by then but seemed hopeful.

Anyway we're confirming our wedding plans for September 12 as three months is surely enough time to fix the system and print the damned visa but we'll hold of on booking a flight to her passport and visa are in hand.

Forgive me for my ignorance. I've been with the fiance in Africa for 2 weeks with minimal access to internet. His packet arrived the day before I left, but I still don't have case numbers from the NVC.

Do we need the case number or something from the NVC to be able to fill out the DS-160? How do I get that? Do I need to call the NVC? Will they even have it now that the packet has left there?

I'm sure some of these questions are answered somewhere but I'm jet lagged and back at work already and just can't concentrate long enough to read through everything.

ROC:

11/14/17 I-751 Package mailed (Vermont)

6/09/15 Consulate Received (had to call embassy to check)
6/12/15 Packet Received
6/18/15 Packet Completed
(had to call/visit embassy to schedule interview)

7/09/15 Interview Completed- APPROVED!! (after delay for US system errors, and rescheduling/postponing 3 times)
