Hi guys! I'm filling outthe DS 160 form for my fiance, I was wondering what should we answer to the question Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with USCIS? If the only form that he has ever filed was the I129f with me, would that be a NO since I129f is not an immigrant visa? Thank you!

Not yet, but all our paperwork were accepted and confirmed receipt by embassy (packet 4). Our interview is scheduled for July, but they told us we could get an earlier appointment once medical is done. My fiancé is doing that next week. Good luck to you!

Good morning guys. I just checked the ceac website and it says that our case is READY. We have not heard from the embassy in the Domincan Republic yet but we are going to try to go ahead. We will fill out the online form and we will try to get the medical exam going.

The normal way is just seat and wait for the embassy's letter, but maybe we can push forward on our own. One of the members here did it and we will try. Will see what happens.

Happy weekend

Hey

So I am also going through the embassy in DR, don't wait for them! I still have not received anything from them! Go ahead and get started with the ds-160 and scheduling the interviews and getting the medical. I used a screenshot of my case status on the website as my "letter" and was able to move forward with everything.

Hope this helps!

Good luck!

Does anyone know what is going on in Texas due to all this rain? Do you think the process of sending the files to NVC will be delayed now?

Does anyone know if the offices in Mequite are near the flooding area?

It's 5 am. Too excited to go back to sleep . We got an inteview for next Wednesday at the embassy in Sto Domingo. I was surprised that they asked us to schedule also a OFc appointment, I had to look that up, it sounds like fingerprinting and biometrics. That will happen tomorrow.

After being stuck at TSC for eight long months, all this recent speed is dizzying. Although yesterday paying for the interview fee was a nightmare. It took 6 hours getting the right receipt and dealing with very inefficient bank employees. They never tried to help, they just wanted to get rid of us, with a smile. Frustrating but I am used to it by now.

Because I was planning for an August interview I will not be able to be here for the interview, I leave two days before, that worries me a bit, but we have decided to go ahead and be ultra optimistic. I am leaving lots of photos, notes and info for the interview.
