Just reporting that I received the offical I-797 in the mail. Two things jumped out to me: 1. It says "listed consulate" but there is none. 2. A few paragraphs but nothing about what the next steps

I don't know when exactly mine was assigned - I called today and immediately checked ceac and the status was available.

my case got sent to the NVC!!!!! I feel like 7 months of suffering were worth it lol.. makes this next phase a lot more fun

Just want to say that it seems the NVC is working quickly right now when they recieve an approval. My NOA2 was on May 1. The case didn't arrive at the NVC until May 19, but was then send to Warsaw on May 21.

Good to know! Maybe they'll be good to us since we waited so long at TSC :P

[ February 2012 ] Finally admitted our true feelings after years of staying hush hush!

[ March 22, 2012 ] Made things official!

[ April 13, 2012 ] Met for the first time in real life and fell in love!

[ July 8, 2014 ] Got engaged!

[ September 10, 2014 ] Filled out paper work

[ September 19, 2014 ] Receipt Date

[ September 23, 2014 ] NOA1

And after 246 hellish days (8+ months) of being trapped in TSC purgatory....

[ May 27, 2015 ] NOA2 :)

[ September 16, 2015 ] Interview at the US Consulate in Montreal!

Good to know! Maybe they'll be good to us since we waited so long at TSC :P

They actually go in batches to embassies. Mine sat for over a week, but some people's went super fast. There's a thread on here that shows how to do the DHL tracking. Of course, you can't know exactly, but it is something to do if you are waiting!! :)

May 23rd - NOA approval in the mail

May 25th - Green card in HAAAAAAAAAAAAAND

It was sent to DOS (NVC is under them) to assign a case# after which it would be forwarded to your consulate for further processing prior to your interview! Good luck.

When did you get your approval? For how long your file was still in Texas?

I just got notice at 10:42pm EST that our case was sent to NVC. Our NOA2 was May 19th. So 10 days, or 7 actual work days.
