The instructions you will find in the links provided will guide you to schedule an online appointment for you visa interview. You are also instructed to send in the required documents to our office in advance. IMPORTANT: Please note that if your documents do not reach our office before your scheduled interview, you will be requested to reschedule the appointment online. Also, we called the doctor specifically assigned by the consular office and we were told that unless we received this email from the embassy with our case # on it, we would not be able to schedule an appointment for medical exam.

Today, we completed packet 3, finished DS-160, scheduled medical, and interview date all on the same day. I'm not sure that this is the same procedure for all consular offices, anyway I hope it helps.

You're welcome! By the way, the link they send will already have all your info and your fiancé's info on it. And here's

What's in packet 3:

1.) link to create an account, make payments for visa, and register a postal address where they will send your visa if approved.

2.) police report, not normal report, but what they call "archived."

3.) Original birth certificate.

4.) DS-160 confirmation page printed.

5.) visa payment receipt

Print all receipts twice. I've been told that they like to ask for it at the interview as well, along with proof of relationship.

I think you will get yours soon because we're in the same region. Best wishes to you, K1visajourney! ?

So my fiancée was at the site for his medical, they asked me for a letter from the NVC I have no idea what letter they are referring to! So frustrating because everything's been scheduled already! Does anyone know what letter they are referring to?

As far as I understand NVC should send a notification letter that they have sent the case to the embassy and the embassy will send an email with the instrucions for the paperwork. That letter should be taken to the medical exam. The funny thing is that out case was sent to the embassy on May 13th and I haven't received any notifications or letters. So we are kind of stalled.

Caro, the DR embassy will send you that letter, to the beneficiary's address. From what i gathered it may take up to 120 days since the moment your case arrives in Sto Domingo....on facebook, the embassy has a webpage where the cónsul answers questions every Tuesday.. however, if you look at the visa journey data, many recent interviews are taking place around 2 months after NOA2 approval, a lot less than 120 days.

I was surprised when you said that you could schedule your interview online right away. My fiancé and I were getting ready for a long wait, that's why we planned our month long trip to South America .

I will keep reading the consuls answers on Facebook and see if anything changes.

This long wait is frustrating.

Thanks for the information.

It's really weird, so what i did was I took a snapshot of my status on the ceac website and emailed that to my fiancée. They accepted it and he was able to complete his medical exam. Everything seems so backwards but I'm glad we were able to quickly resolve that issue.

You are good! Good luck with everything. I will follow on your footsteps. My status on ceac is not ready yet.

Thanks

in mexico, if you don't receive the letter you can go to the embassy and ask for it if you already have your interview date. the latter part of this process has more flexibility than the first. if you don't want to wait 3 months to interview, you should see what options you have to get a copy of the letter. if i had waited for the embassy to do everything my interview would have been scheduled in late July. I will be interviewing next week.

Good Morning guys I am so happy that finally our September filers are seeing progress with there case. I can't wait for guys to start getting your visas. As for me I've been enjoying having my fiance home with me it still doesn't seem real. Our entry went very smoothly.
