How do you know whether you've been assigned a case number or your case has been sent to the embassy? By calling the NVC? Haven't gotten anything in the mail and it's been over a week since they've received our app from USCIS.

Ours is on the way, too! Left on the 15th. We also did not receive any kind of notice from NVC (even though they said we should have), but it doesn't matter- good feeling getting this far finally after such long waiting!

My case was sent to the embassy in DR on 5/13 but i still haven't heard anything about the embassy receiving it. I keep checking ceac website and still says my search did not return any data. I started filling out the DS160 and its basically done. Don't know what i should do and the NVC keeps telling me i should contact DR, DR keeps telling me NVC this is so frustrating... Anyone have any Idea what i can do?

Well, I made brioche today.. handmade the dough.. Proofed the dough.. baked the dough.. and finally! I got a live one at the NVC! Can you believe it?1? Ohh and she was soooo very, very nice! She gave me our case#, invoice#, and my fiancé's ID#

and oh, it was sent to Ankara on 5/13! I'm soooo excited! I do have a question, which I've already asked the US embassy in Ankara, but wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience or is planning to do the same. I'm planning to spend this summer in Turkey (As I've done every summer since 2013) while my fiancé's visa is in the works. I plan to bring all the paperwork necessary, such as the affidavit of support, bank statements, and my tax returns, etc., but worried that I may need to stay here in case the embassy asked for any other documents.

Very exciting hearing about everyone's visa interviews!!! Unfortunately, our case is stuck for now on packet 3. We asked about 3 weeks ago for my fiance's police certificate because we knew there was a delay in processing. Currently, they are telling us that we will have to wait a minimum of 3-4 weeks because of the delay in processing police certificates. So no interview date for us anytime soon.... :/ If we're not stuck one place, it's another.
