My fiancé was told to come back tomorrow to complete his medical. They did lab and a body a full body scan today. Tomorrow he will complete chest X-Ray ad pick up the medical result the doctor told him. I thought it was going to take about a week to get the results. :dancing:

That's great! Man, your interview is coming up so soon. We still haven't received our packet, and the Embassy won't tell you your interview date over the phone... getting pretty anxious. I just want to knowwwww.

Trust me I know exactly how you feel. I only waited one week to get it and it felt like weeks. I tell you I really thought it was weeks until I looked at my timeline yesterday and I laughed at myself. I may need some sort of counseling after this my anxiety level goes from 0 to 100 really quickly.

We are in the same boat. Were approved on the 17th. Just called USCIS first and the guy told me "everything looks good, should be on its way"

Called NVC (took five times in a row to get through and was actually on hold for less than 30 seconds last time) and was told that they had not yet received it.

So, yours is probably with ours wherever ours is- here's to hoping it arrives this week! :)

Thank you so much for the info! Yes, it is probablysomewhere around yours. Just wanted to know if I should do anything. I asked my fiance to gather some translations and paperwork before we actually start going through the process. I read somewhere that once you receive a notification that your cases has left the NVC, you can start doing the medical examinations! Can't wait to get through all the paperwork and see the actual visa in his passport! :) Thanks everybody!

Got our interview date today! It's May 26th, two days after our original wedding date- good thing we postponed that!

Has anyone's fiance had to get police certificates from the US before? Were they sent out in a timely fashion? He lived in the US for about 12 years, but only needs certificates from two places. I'm worried it will take a while to get and cut it close for his interview. He's going to have them sent to me and I'll DHL them to him.

You don't need Police Certificates from the US.

From reading this, it seems like he does:

http://macedonia.usembassy.gov/processing2.html

A police certificate from the current place of residence of the beneficiary, as well as from any place or places of residence for 1 year or more since becoming the age of 16

Maybe it's an embassy by embassy thing?

So our case was approved on April 16th and yesterday I called the NVC just in case I could get anything. The woman was very helpful, like a breath of fresh air after dealing with the TSC. She said that they already received our case but it is not in the system yet so she wasn't able to give any information. She said that we would need to give the NVC around 35 days since there is a high volume of visas. But that wait time is just a time slot that they give for reference so it's not an exact time. I was happy to hear that they have it although it was strange that she was able to tell if there wasn't anything in the system yet. I'll take it! :) I had a quick question. Would I need to get a signed form from my employer or the pay stubs and the affidavit of support is enough? Also, should I leave blank the slots for the questions that do not apply to us? Thanks so much!

On the USCIS website there are instructions that go with the I134 form that are pretty helpful. It says to have a letter from the employer and bank statement. I've seen a lot of people just have a copy of your most recent federal tax return, letter from employer, and bank statement so that's what I'll be including in mine. Hope that was helpful!

Yes! Thank you so much! So I guess I would need to write a formal letter and give it to the HR department for signing. :)

Hello everybody !

I was also approved on April 20, but my case status on USCIS site is still "Approved".. I guess I have to wait for the "Sent to the Department of State" status to start calling the NVC, right ?

Yep! I'm actually a lawyer and I work in a big firm that helps other people do immigration related things all the time, so our HR knew exactly what to put and it literally says:

J is employed by _______________

She has been working since _____________

Her annual salary is _______________
