Hi all,

I am feeling so frustrated today. I know this is suppose to the be easy part and I know I am a whole lot closer than I was a month ago but still until my fiance has his visa in hand I won't relax. I know that many people from both August and September are still waiting and I am very grateful but it's been seven months thousands of dollars later and many lonely nights and still nothing. My case is at the Embassy now and we can't do squat until packet 3. I so badly want to pick an interview date as May dates are quickly becoming un available. I fear picking a date and then not have the medical ready. Ugh excuse my rant as I am so over this process already.

I know the feeling... I just want this time to pass by quickly. My nerves are getting out of control, but our patience is once again tested. I just keep saying to myself that this will all be worth it in two months or so once we are able to begin our lives with our loves. Do you have an idea on when you are supposed to get the packet 3? I'm hoping we all advance through our process this week. :clock:

Yes I am hoping for the same. Looking through other VJ members from my Embassy I've seen it take any where from about a week and a half to 5 weeks. I've done everything I just need packet 3 to do Medical and police Cert. I was hoping to get a date in May around his birthday. His birthday is on the 29 of May I was hoping to spend it with him. :ranting: :ranting:

A little late to update. NVC received the application on 22 April and sent it to the Australian embassy on the 24th. Status - In Transit.

I guess the NVC decides the date. My concern is I may get a date only in July. I noticed somebody from Australia got 30th June as the interview date. The wait continues :(

I don't know what's going on anymore. I'm still at NVC. People have been sent to the Kingston embassy from NVC recently, so it's not that they aren't accepting petitions at the moment.

What can I do when they are telling me "sorry there's no timeframe for AP, we will notify you once it's sent?"

I'm falling apart.

I so sorry yeah I saw a couple of people that got to NVC after yours get sent. This might be a good time to get your congressional office involved. I'm sorry so you're going though this after all that wait at TSC.

I agree with Ethline- see if your Congressional office can make an inquiry for you, maybe they will get a more direct answer...

Yay! We're still waiting on our packet 3 unfortunately. My fiance is nervous to call Embassy and ask about it, hoping he does it tomorrow. We have a pretty good idea of what we need, so I'm mailing off copies of everything and evidence tonight- scary to put something so important in the mail!!

Yeah. I just have no energy or hope. I can barely take care of myself let alone construct a decent letter for a congressman or put any more false hope into anything else. Because of all of this stress we are fighting pretty badly. He is currently not talking to me, but I'm certain its my fault for taking all of my emotions out on him. Nonetheless he's not there for me through this right now. I'm struggling badly at work, I'm late everyday. I can't fall asleep until late, then I oversleep and getting out of bed is virtually impossible. I am neglecting my dog. I'm crying uncontrollably as I write this. I don't know what to do.

You could probably call next week :)

You're right, since my case was approved on April 20th I should start my weekly calls next week lol, I really wanna get the case # as soon as I can. I've been checking timelines from other Colombian people and they usually get the case # assigned in a 10-22 day period.
