Our case is in transit. I also got the interview date has been provided message. I haven't gotten an interview date yet. Does that mean that it is set but that Montreal will release the info to me when the case gets there?

I have the same message when I check my status about an interview date being provided. Also, are you all receiving emails from the NVC or mail notices that your case is in transit or that they received it? Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything from the NVC since I haven't received either.

That's a standard message that everyone get. Check with your Embassy forum to see if you schedule your own or is one provided for you. This is a good time to create an account on ustraveldocs but again visa your Embassy website to get more information.

Nope no message from NVC. I did get a letter from them stating my case was sent to the Embassy but I got that letter after my case was already at the Embassy.

Hi all,

I am feeling so frustrated today. I know this is suppose to the be easy part and I know I am a whole lot closer than I was a month ago but still until my fiance has his visa in hand I won't relax. I know that many people from both August and September are still waiting and I am very grateful but it's been seven months thousands of dollars later and many lonely nights and still nothing. My case is at the Embassy now and we can't do squat until packet 3. I so badly want to pick an interview date as May dates are quickly becoming un available. I fear picking a date and then not have the medical ready. Ugh excuse my rant as I am so over this process already.

Once you have your case number from NVC you go to https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

that is strange because the K1 is considered a non-immigrant visa by the US State Department's own definition....

K visas are nonimmigrant visas that assist spouses or future spouses of American citizens in entering the United States. As with all nonimmigrant visa applicants, a DS-160 must be filled out in order for a consular section to process the case

So there are three stages of the NVC process first one is at NVC next is in transit and last is Ready. You are still at NVC
