Thank you I didn't even realize that. But just so you know you have to fill out the ds-160 not the 260.

That's right, it was a typing error lol From what I've been looking at I also can schedule the Interview in the embassy before they send the instructions package to my fiance.

question that came to mind while I am preparing packet 3 checklist do I need to send all the document that obtained such us Police certificate, birth certificate and proof of relationship and so on. with the checklist document and send to the Embassy or I just need to check the box on packet 3 telling them that I have the document that asked on the checklist. I know I have to include the DS-160 confirmation page but is there any other document I need to send for now. if I am not mistaking I need to bring the document that asked on packet 3 with me at the interview? am I right? please explain to me if you can what I need to with the checklist.

Ok lol just making sure. My Embassy is the same way but unfortunately I can't have him do the medical without it. I fear scheduling the interview and not getting the letter in time to do the medical.

You may wish to check with member of your Embassy. Each Embassy is different some require for document ahead of time some don't.

jairozb thanks for the information share on the topic link and the pdf paquet!

Nicela is reading all of it right now as we are so excited.

how long do you think it will take to get your interview scheduled, receive the visa, and make entry to the US?

We would really love to do ours asap as Nicela would love to be here by June 1st for my birthday, but we know that may be unrealistic as we still have to wait for uscis to send our file to nvc then nvc to bogota and get our new number.

It depends on how fast we can get the case # (bgt number), once we get that number from the NVC I can pay the visa fee and fill the DS160 application and schedule the interview.

It also depends how long it takes for our case to arrive to the embassy. Once the visa is approved it can take up to two weeks for the embassy to send the visa to my fiance, she can travel as soon as she gets the visa.

Even if Nicela can't be in the U.S by June 1st i'm sure she will be here soon, I know the feeling, my birthday is on september and it's the first birthday i'm gonna spend together with my fiance.

Hi everyone,

For those of you who have gotten in touch with someone at NVC... what's your secret? I think I have dialed their number almost 50 times in the past two days and I haven't been able to get through! I need to change my fiance's address and I want to do that before it gets to the embassy. I submitted a form online with NVC to change the address but I don't know how reliable they are or if I will ever hear back from them.

I hope everyone has a speedy process from here onwards!

I'm on the same boat. I tried calling several times yesterday and I couldn't get through. My case was apparently being sent on April 13 and i still have no word on it being received :/

I was able to get through this morning! I called exactly at 7 AM when they opened and was on hold for around 40 minutes. My case was also sent there on the 13th (according to USCIS) and they received it on 4/20. They haven't assigned it a number yet so I will call back in a few days. I think the secret might be calling right at 7. I tried calling them late at night but that hasn't worked for me. Good luck!

I started trying calling at about 11am. Yea it took a little while to get through but that gives them time to get some work done in the mornings. If I where you I would call maybe around 7 at night. Mine was received the same day and had a number the next day.

I just got through talking with them. I called around 12:50pm and waited 30 min. I got my case number :) I asked when they received it and she just told me recently I don't know why she couldn't tell me the date :/ she did tell me that the case number was created yesterday so I will just put that they received it on 04/20 on the timeline here. It seems that is when a lot of users who's case was sent on 04/13 had their case received at the NVC.

I also needed to change my fiancé's address and she told me that they can do it through the NVC but to call back in a week because my account is frozen now because it will be sent shortly to the embassy in Brazil. I asked her if shortly meant it will be sent today but she said no but shortly hahaha.

I forgot to ask... do we get a notice of when it is being sent to the beneficiary's country? Because I didn't get a notice on the website of when my case has been received and it still says that it has been sent to the department of state.
