Hello All, I am an April Filer. I received a letter from NVC that says they are waiting for the Consulate to give an interview date. How does it work? Can't we chose when we want to have the interview? I am a little worried because I have travel plans in 2 months and I am afraid they schedule my interview during this time.

I appreciate a response.

Rgds,

Do not worry, you are fine.

You and I have cases completed on Jan 28 and Jan 26 respectively.

Its very difficult to predict exactly when the interview is going to be.

Member Dwheels76 manages a spread sheet, I asked her to add you to it.

If you look at the history for Colombian cases since 2013, the average waiting time between CC (case complete at NVC) and the Interview is 54 days.

Here is where the spread sheet is:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xbLl_8yDgHLeDaLnTrPdYc44J0sjPSFfYCKxlKx6uTY/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=0

In about 10 days we should receive the IL (interview letter) that has the interview date and other information. You need to print that letter and take it to the embassy in Bogota.

Let me know ASAP when you receive that letter and then I will give you more information regarding the interview.

guys goood luck to all of u and hang in there cause its worth it

my wife and kids had their interview on monday ,it was very fast

the agent asked for the medical files

the agent asked for the mariage certificate , then he gave it back

he asked her to swear and sign the IV application

he said ur visa is approoooooved come back next monday to pickup the passports , thank u and good luck to u

my wife said that she spent 25 min just going trough the security and she spent 5 min with the agent most of it was signing the applications

so happy its all over , we spent so much time gathering all the civil documents, and financial documents, and pictures ,and reciepts for money tranfers

and.......now its sitting infront of my eyes good for nothing.

i thank god the almighty for making this process easy for me and my familly , its so stressing to go trough it but its a step that we have to live.

now i can`t even describe how good it feels to know that ur wife and kids will be home with u , and u dont have to spend ur days off infront of ur laptop.

i really wish all of u fillers goooood luck from the bottom of my heart , cause i know what it feels like to be waiting.
