Hmmm. Maybe I'll call tonight then. I know Monday being a holiday might have slowed things down a bit... It seems like it takes 2-3 weeks from NOA2 until when they get the case though... That's just looking through timelines.

Hi,

Is it ok to contact VC without having NOA2 hard copy. just to let them know that my case has been approved and tell me my case number. I am planning to call them on June 1.

Hi Everyone! Does anyone have any explanation for why some couples I 130 gets processed fast/short times than others? I've been doing some research, looked at couples whose apps where sent to the same center yet the processing times range from 4-8 months, even around the same timeframe. I'm a USC.

But how do you know they have received your case. I was reading on VJ that we should contact them and make sure they received our approved case in the office. yes you are right we should wait for three weeks to get our case number.

I am waiting for my NOA2 hard copy. Never got email either. What's your next step.

My next step, I guess, is to call the NVC and see if they received my case. Once I know they have my case, I'll wait for my case number to be assigned.

Received my hard copy NOA2 today in Australia. Approximately 2 weeks after I got the email/it showed approved online. Called NVC today for the first time. Took 25 tries before I was able to get through to a rep. NVC hasn't received my case yet and the rep said it may take up to 35 days. I'll call again next week.

Strange that they've received your case already and not mine considering that we have the same NOA2 date and were both at California.... If you check your USCIS status online does it say that your case was sent to NVC?

USCIS site is still saying they have approved my case nothing else. You could call NVC and check they might have your case too.

I will call NVC for the first time tomorrow, it would be exactly 15 days after NOA2.

I expect at least they "received my case" and if we're lucky they'll give me the NVC case number.

I'll report back as usual. Fingers crossed! Best wishes to all.
