Today we reach day 40 after NOA1... I'm losing hope on getting "auto-expedited" for filing from abroad.

I guess we will wait the "standard" 5 months between NOA1-NOA2...

Lol 40days and complaining ?

Relax......

Everyone is in the same boat.

Yeah. Though you never know what some people consider "auto-expedited". Reading through that thread, there were some that thought less than 2 months had been fast tracked. And no clue how many think 45 days wasn't expedited.... (Yes, I'm grasping at straws)

Jack2107 just because we're all going for the same visa does not mean we're all in the same boat. Unless the USC is filing from abroad in your case and it was sent to the CSC, you're not exactly in the same boat as us.... There is anecdotal evidence that USC filing from abroad often get auto-expedited when sent to the CSC, which is what we were kinda hoping would happen.

Exactly...

I was not complaining about it. I was just hoping we would get "auto-expedited". But anyway...

Now, I do complain about this whole "process" I think its completely BS that we have to wait +1 year just to enter my country with my family.

I've seen people from Philippines getting approved in less than 4 months, so it COULD BE faster, It can be done. They just don't want to spend more money on personnel and optimizing this simple process. For example: I believe sending PHYSICAL COPIES is a completely waste of money, time and not to mention: contamination and resources. This should be entirely digital, faster and efficient, only bringing ORIGINAL documents to the interview at your embassy or consulate. RFEs? Send them over the internet! Checks and money orders... are we in the 80's in what? These days everybody has a credit/debit card. It's so dumb.

Yep totally agree. It makes no sense for things to not be digital. It amuses me how they have the reduction of paperwork act blurb with various forms but the whole process is all about generating loads of paperwork. At the very least they could make it so people meeting certain conditions could file electronically like they're doing at NVC. My thought is if Australia can make it so most people can file for visas online, then the US should be able to do it. Australia seriously is stuck back in the 80s with technology for most things.

Congratulations to all the people from the Philippines getting approved (as expected) but I don't see how it's of any help to post it here with the rest of us that will have to wait double and triple (if we're lucky) the amount of time.I'm sure we're all very happy for you but your posts are like salt in our wounds.By the time you're all settled in with your spouses some of us will still be waiting to get our NOA2...Since you already belong to a different category of applicants, you should also have the same thread.

I'm tryig to keep track of people's similar timelines as my own and get some MUCH needed help but I find myself scared to check VJ anymore because of how sad these posts make me.You didn't give me personally any hope and I don't want to think that some of you do it to rub it in our faces that you're progressing but it sure feels like you do.

I agree with NikiandMike. The Philipinos should have a seperate forum. Personally, I'm happy for them, but I also think it is very very unfair that they get special treatment.

Definitely agree

check your Noa, there is a receipt number. If you case was sent to California, it started with WAC. Your receipt number should be WAC xxxxxxxxxx
