Sorry it took me a while to get to this. That's a great update and you are well on your way towards the end of the journey. Getting your case number and IIN is basically required so that you can log in to the CEAC portal website in order to complete next steps which include:

1. Completing DS-260 and DS-261

2. Paying IV and AOS fee

3. Overall tracking of you case status at NVC

Since your saying that the fees are showing as paid, you should have access to DS260 form online which needs to be filled out. Once it has been filled out you need to send all your documents to NVC (Birth certificate, PCC, marriage certificate etc.) after you send all that to NVC they generate a scan date and then you can track it to case completion which is the goal before interview gets scheduled.

Hi VJmembers...im just a new member of ur family and i hope you will help me also in my inquiries..here is my nvc journey..my pd is dec 23, 2013. I paid my aos and filled my ds261 last feb. then my husband spent vacation here in the philippines last april until june so we dont have time to send documents to nvc until he came back to US. On july, we send civil docs and financial evidence together then july 7th we received an email stating that nvc received the package on july 2nd (scan date). July 23 we get an invoice to pay IV fee and it shows paid on july 30 then its july 31 when I submitted my ds260. From then I keep calling nvc if I got case complete but they always told me that its not yet case complete coz they dont receive my civil docs ( eventhough i make sure that i send both civil docs and financial evidence together). They told me that they send me a checklist on aug 10 but my husband and I didnt receive any checklist about that. So we decided to send civil docs yesterday. So now Im so confused and worried. Did they lost my docs or they just want me to wait for the supervisor and review my docs for 42 days? Thanks for spending time to read my story and any reply is much appreciated. THANKS VJmembers

its better to call nvc and find out the reason or ask them to re-send the email again!!

@corpus - when you sent the docs (civil + financial) the first time, did you already have a cover sheet?

Thats what ive been doing many times before but all of them told me that they dont received any civil docs and requested me to send again those docs. So thats what i did. I send it again yesterday

Just done calling nvc...as expected i got the same answer from them that i still have to send my civil docs and worst thing is that they also need my IV application. Why is that each CSR give different answers to me? But I request them to send me an email regarding that august 10 checklist so now im just waiting for that email

@ corpuz - it sounds like you should have waited to see what the checklist was for before resending anything. Resending the package blindly may mean that you did not address the specific civil doc or docs that were missing. btw - what are you referring to as the IV application? isn't that the DS-260? and I thought you said you already did that....did you get a confirmation page?

Anyway, here is your timeline below (I think) - correct it if you need too...it just made it easier for me to understand your case. once you get the checklist info, come back and let us know what was in it. But you are very close to getting your case complete - just try and address things in the order they want. Its not always helpful to pre-empt NVC! Also do NOT ask for a supervisor review - unless there is something fundamentally wrong with your case...which there does not seem to be from what you have written. Best of Luck!

Sabai2000-> tnx for making my timeline...yeah I'm done with my ds260 last July 31. It's been 2hrs had passed since I called nvc and request for that checklist but until now I haven't receive the checklist. I also check my hubby's email but still no message from nvc. Yes ur right that I should have wait for that checklist but I don't want to wait for nothing. As u can see they don't send me an email until now. What do u think sabai2000? Pls help me On what to do. Yes I received a confirmation page after I submit my ds260...do I need to print it out?

@ corpuz - don't be worried - just be strong....and be very patient. You are almost at the finish line. Yes, print the DS-260 confirmation page and keep it in your "interview" file for later. (that's what I did).

I don't think you will get the checklist email in just 2 hours! I would expect it to take at least a couple of days for the system to re-generate the request. Don't call NVC every day - it will drive you crazy. Be strategic....call in 2 days if you don't have the checklist email. Wait and see if the IV docs you re-sent will satisfy NVC (it might well be that if NVC was really "missing" the initial IV docs that you sent with the financials, they may "locate" it and it will be ok). The 2nd submission should generate a new scan date and if they have everything, they could close your case very quickly after that.

but I have a feeling that your case will close soon without the second docs... . I would plan 10-14 days....I might be wrong but that's just how I see your case.

(ps - put your time line that I did for your into your signature so it will follow your postings).
