Hello All,

I would like to share my experience from the interview I had today. My visa has been approved and I am really happy for what God has done for us :). I would like to thank everyone here who supported me throughout this process and wish you all the best of luck. Here is my review:

I arrived at the embassy at 6.30am in the morning as my appointment was at 8.00am and joined the queue. At that time there was only four of us however as the time progressed a lot of people joined the queue. My tip for everyone is arrive early so that you can pass the security faster. At 7.45am the staff started to check peoples documents and separated the queue in three different section which one by appointment only, US citizen, and other. I was let through security without any problem. I was then asked by the receptionist to provide my appointment letter as well as DS260 then she returned it with the sticker that has my I number on it.The number I was given was I901 and I was told to go to the siting area and wait for my number to be called.

I sat down and within ten minutes I was called to window 16 to provide all my original documents and was asked to do finger print for verification reason. Once she has checked all the documents she told me to sit down and wait for my number to be called again. My advise for you all is write down your number as they take all your documents until you are called back to the interview again.

I then sat down and wait for my number to be called for the second time which I was called within 30min. I was greeted by a lady and same made me swore that I am telling all the truth. She then asked me the questions below

  • How did you guys meet?
  • When was the first time you guys met each other?
  • which university did my husband went to?
  • How long he has been in this job?
  • When was the last time I was in the US?
  • How many times I traveled to the US to visit my husband?
That was all the questions I was asked and I was told that my visa has been approved and I will need to wait for 14 days for my passport to get delivered by courier service I have selected. P.S. please do not forget to print the confirmation page for the courier service as they will ask you provide that.

The last question I am confused wait that bczz I went india only mrg time after that I didn't go there. . My pd July 8 2014 .. I submit all documents ND ds260 today . My question is that it is any problem that I didn't go after mrg .. Edited by hardik03

Did you get a refusal notice or a request for evidence notice (RFE)? they are different things. If they are asking for additional evidence, then it doesn't sound like a refusal. Your PD is May 2014 -

Ya abg, I got case number on 05/05 and also got my NVC welcome letter but still same error message... so i will call them again on Monday.. Lets figure it out...

Me either i don't think so are you going when the interview happens?

No my question is when i am married that time I went to India after that I didn't go to India for see my wife ..any problem when interview supervisor ask questions that how many time did your husband Visit us to India

that's what i said me too i just went to get married and after that i have not been to india so i don't know but i am going when the interview happens.

Thanks all for all for your kind wishes. @Hardik and @Arrow, the last question was about myself which is the beneficiary not the petitioner therefore, you do not need to be worried if you have a valid reason. I have been also asked why my husband did not visit me and I gave a valid reason why which she accepted.

a question from those got check list.

I had a checklist and NVC received the doc at 16th of July . It is more than 1 month ( 1 month and 5 days) it is passed and no answer. I called them and they said they will put it in supervisor review and I really do not trust this customer care agents any longer. did any body got response after checklist this long? I am tired of this NVC.

:( sad to hear yours is also same. so it seems they have kept july 16th documents for their children's draft. Anytime i call they say wait. They have never suffered from pain of waiting.

I'm in the same situation. I got a checklist and my new scan date is July 16th and still no answer

Hi Munafn, hope you are doing well, just would like to update you that i called NVC and received my case number and INN and i checked it shows paid for my IV and AOS so, what does it mean and what is next? i am waiting for my spouse PCC and birth Certificate to be translated my attorney paid the fee on my behalf. Hi PrincessBM,

Sorry it took me a while to get to this. That's a great update and you are well on your way towards the end of the journey. Getting your case number and IIN is basically required so that you can log in to the CEAC portal website in order to complete next steps which include:

1. Completing DS-260 and DS-261

2. Paying IV and AOS fee

3. Overall tracking of you case status at NVC

Since your saying that the fees are showing as paid, you should have access to DS260 form online which needs to be filled out. Once it has been filled out you need to send all your documents to NVC (Birth certificate, PCC, marriage certificate etc.) after you send all that to NVC they generate a scan date and then you can track it to case completion which is the goal before interview gets scheduled.
