Hi, Just now I called the CR and she was saying its been long time that no one can't access the DS-260 and currently the DS-260 down and they don't know when will it be up and running, Omg I can't believe why all these things are happening now.

I sent my fee via mail to the St. Louis, MO address and they cashed the check and no update till now both AOS&IV still shows PayNow and called them so many times and they say that it is escalated to the Manager but no use at all. I sent an email to NVC with the attached Money Order Receipt that I got from the bank stating that its been cashed.

I have a quick question for the members regarding the Interview schedule does they schedule the interview immediately for the people who completed AOS and DS-260 or will they wait till the Priority date becomes current.

Thank you and all the best of luck to you.

Congrats Habel

@ f2aind thank you and in regards to your question they will schedule your interview when they finsh reviewing your AOS documents as well as your DS260 however, they will need approximately about 30 days to view it. If your PD is not curtent they will not arrange appointment means you have to wait until it becomes current. All the best of luck to you and everyone here. Edited by Habel

Hey Guys, it's good to see all the great news and progress, many of you are almost there!

Hopewings, it's so damn good to see you here!

Habel, congratulations for the interview !!

I have paid the AOS fees and sent the documents they asked about 2 weeks ago,I received today an email with an invoice page for the visa fees(in case I wanna pay by mail)

I dont have accesss on the website to pay the visa fees, but the AOS shows Paid though.

Should I wait for the website or pay by mail?

Hi Padistine - hi there!!!!

Im in your exact position .....but everyone is advising not to send the IV fee by mail. So I am waiting for 30 days (seems to be the time frame when the IV fee shows up online). That means by July 15, hopefully, the IV will show online and I will be able to pay.

the problem is if you send your docs before you have paid the AOS and/or the IV fee and/filled the DS-260 form, you will get check-listed. If your PD is some way off, that's not such a big deal because you have time....but for those of us whose PD is current or is about to become current, a checklist is not what we want at this point.

This "game" with NVC requires patience and a steely heart!

Best of luck and hang in there!

Exactly Sbai, we paid our IV fees via mail and received an email confirmation on June 1 but unable to submit DS 260 where we received checking list on June 19 due non submission of DS 260 so better to wait till next week as NVC are going to fix their bug within early next week.

I see!

Thanks Sbai2000, I was thinking that we've been waiting for so long that another couple of weeks won't kill us :D

My Pd is Jan 14th 2014.

2 questions for anyone to answer,

why is check list a bad thing?

And is there a way to show my info like PD in the signature automatically ?XD

Thanks again

Checklist is bad because the normal processing time is 30-60 days with the NVC. A checklist is basically an RFE of sorts but receiving one resets the processing time to another 30-60 days. Potentially this could mean 4 months before having a case completed. This matters because the visa bulletin is so unpredictable that one month it could jump 2-3 months OR it could retrogress. If it moves forward fast you want to be at a case completed stage so you can get the interview letter as fast as possible and also you don't want to be in a situation where the VB moves forward for two months and then on the third month it retrogressed because you were stuck in a checklist review.

For the signature, if you go to settings, there should be a section for signature and you should be able to add it in there

it could be but I'm not agree totally regarding the RFE,it's depend on your PD.one of my friend his case completed within 30days with RFE then shudule interview on 15 july.so if your pd is not close they will be took more time for review with RFE just my experience.

Well ofcourse, everyone's case is different and there are various levels of complexity surrounding everyone's case. Embassy specific and country specific rules apply as well. I was generalizing and not stating specifics. Use it as a guideline and regardless of circumstances, it's not a bad thing to be done early which is what was asked. It is a known fact that if a checklist is received depending on what is sent back, a new scan date is issued and processing works based on the new scan date. Now ofcourse they try and work through cases a lot faster. I've seen people reach case complete within 25 calendar days. Point is, checklist doesn't help - in general, it delays also because it will take time to respond to a checklist thereby increasing the time before reaching case complete. My two cents.
