NVC process for VSC filers from Aug 2013- Jun 2014

@Habel - if you read around the VJ forums, you will see that many people were able to call NVC and get the INN and case numbers early. The advise on VJ has always been not to wait for NVC to communicate with you first. so if you want to get ahead of the game you have to be proactive. Based on what I have been reading over the past few month here on VJ, I would start calling NVC 1 week after receiving your NOA2......call once a week for the first couple of weeks - then speed it up to 2-3 times a week.

NVC number is (603) 334-0700. its busy a lot so you have to be persistent

my attitude to all this is to get your case closed as soon as possible because the VB is so unpredictable. That means if you can get your IIN number 2 weeks early, it can be the difference between getting your interview and retrogression.

Many thanks for your swift response and I will for sure start calling after next week and as you said every step you take will need to be measured time wise. As I mentioned before having a lawyer is one of the worst decsions we have made but it is all done now and we just have to accept it. I wish you the best of luck with your approval and I hope you will join the rest of us here on the next journey.

The only good thing about the long wait at VSC is that it gave me time to read/research and get ready for the next step. It is very, very possible to get case closed within 60 days if you're ready!

What is the contact number for NVC please? Shall I also start to contact them end of April or begining of May because our lawyer said they will contact us within 45 days time. As our priority date is getting closer do you think they will contact us before the time frame they have told us? Many thanks for your assistance in this matter.

I called them last night n luckily talked with a representative... She asked receipt number n checked in their system. But it wasn't in their system so told me to call back after 30 days. Also she told me that they would contact me that they will contact me once they have my petition...But still I will call next Friday.... No need to wait for 30 days .. Almost 3 weeks is enough...

They would contact us but that won't happen until our case is entered in their system.......

My case was approved on 03/26/2015. Yesterday got my noa2 in the mail. So when can I call nvc to check for case number.

Best time to call them is early morning or late night... I will try next weekend again and will update here too.

if you got approved after 15days nvc got your case after 30days they will give you case number everything. but you can make nvc inquary that give you all information after 30days

Just a quick update... I just received my NOA2 Hard Copy in mail today.

Something I am trying to understand. Why should we call NVC to get the case number before receiving the invoice? Can we, using the case number, log in and pay fees before even receive the welcome letter?
