Did you get a refusal notice or a request for evidence notice (RFE)? they are different things. If they are asking for additional evidence, then it doesn't sound like a refusal. Your PD is May 2014 -

Ya abg, I got case number on 05/05 and also got my NVC welcome letter but still same error message... so i will call them again on Monday.. Lets figure it out...

If so, what is the purpose of this step? is it just to verify that the information went through correctly?

I honestly dont feel like spending time contacting NVC if I don't absolutely need to. And since I printed the DS-261 confirmation, it looks ok to me.

any insights on this would be appreciated.

Once you completed DS-260 they will review within 2 weeks or so, and than they will open another fees for you which is Visa application and after u pay that they will open DS-260 for u. If u want to do your process early call them and review by phone.

How recent have to be the police verification?

The Police Verification issue date has to be within 6 months from the Interview date.

Hello all VJ members. I am new in this forum. But I was a family of VJ when me and husband was struggling of my CR1 journey which took us 18months to be reunited. Thanks God that was over and now I am in this journey of Petitioning my daughter who just turned 21y.o, last May 25.

I am married to a UScitizen so I am the LPR.

April 23,2015 - 1-130 Sent to USCIS

April 24,2015 - Priority Date

April 27,2015 - Form 1-797C- Noa1 Received

May 28,2015 - Received Text message from USCIS that my case was updated. When I checked the status of my case, I was jumping with joy

that it was APPROVED. They approved it a day after my daughter turned 21y.o. I am just waiting for the hard copy (Noa2) of the

approval letter.

I Know it will be another waiting time to start our NVC process but looking forward it will go quick like USCIS process.

Sept.6,2012 - Received email from USCIS, case transferred from NBC to Local Atlanta office.
- Scheduled hubby for INFO PASS dated Sept.26,2012

Sept.21,2012 - Hubby received a call from USCIS Lady doing a "PHONE INTERVIEW".
Sept.24,2012- Received Text & Email " CASE APPROVED"
Sept.26,2012- Hubby still went to his INFO PASS appointment to asked further assitance for the next stage.
Sept.28,2012- Received Noa2 Hard copy

Nov.5, 2013 - Received Case # and Invoice ID Number
Nov.6, 2013 - Received Email for AOS & FEE Bill
Nov.8, 2013 - AOS & IV payment status " IN PROCESS"

Nov.21,2013- DS-260 submitted
Dec.9,2013 - AOS & IV package sent
Dec.13,2013- False checklist received. Called NVC to confirm and they said just ignore it. Its like a confirmation
they received our documents.
Jan.14,2014 - Called NVC and heared our document was reviewed Jan.9 - and we got a checklist
on AOS & IV.

Jan.15,2014- Received official email checklist

Jan.15,2014- Responded to IV checklist in the afternoon. Sending my NBI CLEARANCE (again) Thru FedEx.

Jan 17,2014- NVC received FedEx document at 9:40a.m. signed by G.Peters

Jan 17,2014- Hubby took a half day off at work to dropped off personally to the lawyer's office, a checklist on his
AOS.

Jan.21,2014- IV checklist reviewed

Jan. 29,2014- AOS checklist reviewed

Feb. 20, 2014 - CASE COMPLETE

Feb. 27, 2014 - Received Official Email..Case Complete

Feb, 28, 2014 - Received P4

April 1, 2014 - INTERVIEW DATE 9:30a.m.
