NVC process for VSC filers from Aug 2013- Jun 2014

Morning all,

Update from my end:

I have managed to complete the D-260 form online and it is now with the lawyer to view before I submit then on Mon she will be submitting all the documents together to NVC then finger cross they will quickly process it as the VB looks like it is going to advance until 1 Oct 2013.

Question: Our original marriage certificate is with my husband which I have the copy and I have read in another forums that original documents are required for the interview. Does that mean that he needs to send me the original before the interview? anyone's assistance is appreciated in this matter.

my update -

called NVC today and at least now they were able to tell me the actual day my file arrived at NVC (April 29, 2015).

So I will give them another week and call them to see if I get the invoice number. Its all good because hubby still hasn't done his

police clearance ...,,,,,he isn't paying attention to the whole process anymore because it has been sooooooo long

I think he just doesn't believe that we are this close! LOL!!

And it looks that June's VB will jump to Oct 1, 2013...,

Good luck my dear and I hope by next week you get your IIN and case number however, in regards to the PCC tell your husband that the form does not even take him a long time to complete and there are different ways of options to get it quicker. I wish you and everyone including myself the best of luck and I hope the VB will still continue to advance therefore, before the year ends we all reunite with our loved ones. I believe that in God's will everything will go smooth for everyone. Amen

Nvc used to asked for original marriage certificate but now they changed policy. You submit only copy and bring original to interview.

I also got my Case number yesterday morning , but i cannot login to the website getting"not eligible for further processing" error message.

I wonder if i should wait until monday and recall them? or will I have access on monday ( since now it is weekends).

another question is that I did not give my email address to the visa specialist when i asked our case number, should i call and give the email or it is not really necessary?

@ Habel - thank you...I have given my husband your words of encouragement! I sent him the link (Yet again!!). He has promised to start on that on Monday....

he spent most of this week going to his GP and dentist to make sure he got his vaccinations. He also got his records. Have you started on any of the medical preparation? I know that we are all now focused on getting the docs ready for NVC....but things are moving soooooo fast now!!! once has to be able to multi-task, it seems!!

Hello Mahdieh,

I had the same error message when they first gave me the case number but you have to give it at least 24 hours then try it and it is good to give your email address to them as post can take time to reach you therefore, any update you have about your case they will send me email first before you receive it by mail. Call them on Mon and provide both your and your spouse email.

I have done all my vaccination with my gp last year and finished all early this year as some vaccinations can take up to six month to complete which in my case it was the hepatitis A,B and C as GP's normally does not provide that as part of the vaccination unless you travel to a country that your are more likely to face a risk The nurse gave me a print copy of my updated vaccination record to take to my medical as there are some vaccination that I was not allowed to take with the NHS. Tell your hubby to ask the nurse to print a copy of his updated vaccination record as that is what it says on the DOS website to provide to show it to a panel of physicians so that you can be exempt from some cost. Is there anything else you have to do for medical apart from vaccination?

When did you submit your D-261(Choice of agent) as that needs to be reviewed before they allow you to pay IV fees therefore, it does not harm to call them on Mon and ask if they have reviewed your form yet. Good luck and do not panic as most of the people in here are in the same situation as yours.

@SusDan this is what I found 'Allow up to seven business days for NVC to process your DS-261 form. After processing, they’ll issue the Affidavit of Support (AOS) invoice so you’ll be able to pay for that and proceed with the next steps'. I hope this helps but give them a call on MON.

This is the confirmation i got but no aos fee is invoiced. So i will wait few more days.
