Yes, you have to inform your lawyer but they will also receive notification from NVC as they will be the one that needs to login to CEAC and select themselves as agent of choice. You providing this info earlier to them will help speed the case along. After that they will ask you for your info in order to submit the DS-260

One more thing ...since u get ur Case number it is advisable to type or print the Case Number on upper right corner of all pages of ur documents for the AOS and IV Package.....I read this info somewhere earlier...But not sure is this helpful or not....

Coz all documents means I-864 and all supporting docs as well as copies of birth certificate, marriage certificate, Passport, PCC...etc....

It's highly recommended you write your case number on the top right of ALL documents (except the bar-coded cover sheet and the cover letter). This is in case NVC misplaces one of your documents. If it has the case number written on it, it has a much better chance of being reunited with the case

New for updates from NVC for my side NVC received my case 21 April 2015 they didnt scan my documents on system so i will call them again first week of May to get my Case Number with IIN

U can get urs too but u have to constantly keep mugging until u get thru the representative...The lady told me that this afternoon only they entered the info in their system so may be i cannot access right now and asked me to call middle of next week to get everything....But at least most of us should get their Case Numbers and IIN today if u get thru the representative....Good Luck all

One question regarding DS-261 submission, when logging in which option do we select to fill DS-261..???

Applicant or petitioner coz DS261 should be submitted by applicant....And Ito speed up process mostly petitioners fill that form in place of beneficiary but which option to select??

Since I have a lawyer, DS-261 is waived for me or rather my lawyer will have to deal with that, but from my research and understanding - you are correct, you can most definitely fill out the form on behalf of the beneficiary.

Login as the Applicant. The form is very simple. it basically asks for your beneficiary name and information including email. The most important field here is choice of agent section which is where you would fill in your information as the agent. This is where you would put in your address and email info etc.

And again the real intent of this form is to make sure that the NVC is able to contact either the applicant or the beneficiary in any situation. This is usually a redundant process almost if you already provide your email and your spouse's email to the NVC operator before hand, but it must still be completed. Once this is done, they will invoice the fee for you to pay.

Thanks Munafn... Yeah next week I will provide NVC my n the beneficiary email address... I asked them yesterday but the lady told they r still inputting information so right now she can't do any thing...and told me to call next week

Also from what i've been seeing, the NVC is generally processing all cases within 30-40 days from receipt of final documents which is pretty good. If all goes well most of us here could be case complete by mid-end of June which would be prime time for a lot the October filers to receive their Interview Letters assuming the Visa bulletin cuts off at Nov 01 during that time.

For me, regardless of the speed of NVC, I'll have to wait till Sept for the IL with the Interview probably sometime in October. That's still a good 5 months away. Now of course I am really hoping they skip a month, but again, that would make little to no sense because they need to process cases in order of priority date so, in fact the sooner all of you get your cases complete and interview letters, the quicker it will be for us early 2014ers

Munafn you are right the cases are going faster then normal and another thing i have noticed is customer service people are nicer when you call them so polite could not believe it.
