U can get urs too but u have to constantly keep mugging until u get thru the representative...The lady told me that this afternoon only they entered the info in their system so may be i cannot access right now and asked me to call middle of next week to get everything....But at least most of us should get their Case Numbers and IIN today if u get thru the representative....Good Luck all

Did you get a refusal notice or a request for evidence notice (RFE)? they are different things. If they are asking for additional evidence, then it doesn't sound like a refusal. Your PD is May 2014 -

Ya abg, I got case number on 05/05 and also got my NVC welcome letter but still same error message... so i will call them again on Monday.. Lets figure it out...

Thanks, I'm actually called them now. I got through to a CSR who said the case was received and said he will transfer me to a specialist who will be able to answer any specific questions about the case. I hope that means it's in the system with a case number. Fingers crossed X

Everyone!!

I just got off the phone with a very nice rep. I received both my case number and Invoice ID number! Everyone whose case was received on the 16th, call and find out if your case number is available. It took me 45 mins but worth the wait :)

Not able to login. I get an error message that says the case/iin combo not valid. The rep did mention thoigh that it was just entered into system today and that once the fee bill has been sent out I should be able to access. Since it was just put in to the system today it will probably take until middle of next probably

Btw interesting information on how to dissect your NVC case number. I remember this from when I went through my F4 journey years ago. It's still good till today!

Example NVC Case number: MNL2015680006

Let's break it down:

MNL-2015-680-006

MNL = Your local consulate, in this example MNL = Manila, ABD = Abu dhabi etc.

2015 = current calendar year that NVC received the case

680 = Subtract 500 from this number and you are left with 180. This is the date that the case was number generated in NVC system which in this case means that it was issued on 180th day of this calendar year which equals 29th of June for this example

006 = This signifies that you are the 6th person whose case number was created on that day for that specific embassy

It may not be much but I thought it was a fun fact to share :)

@ Dew and Munafn congrats and upon your advise I have called just now but the lady told me that they still have not created case number for us. I will try on Mon however, my question is even if I we have our case number as our case is handled by a lawyer do I have to notify her or what? Please your assistance in this matter is appreciated. Please see attached update of our list.

AOS Scan Date: 2015-05-11 (I have been advised to wait 30 days from the date of scan to get case closed)

Case Completed at NVC : 2015-06-04 (Praise the lord almighty :)

Medical Booked: 2015-07-08- Completed

Interview Date: 2015-08-19 (Praise the lord almighty) :)

Interview Result : Visa approved :) Thanks lord

Yes, you have to inform your lawyer but they will also receive notification from NVC as they will be the one that needs to login to CEAC and select themselves as agent of choice. You providing this info earlier to them will help speed the case along. After that they will ask you for your info in order to submit the DS-261
