Did you get a refusal notice or a request for evidence notice (RFE)? they are different things. If they are asking for additional evidence, then it doesn't sound like a refusal. Your PD is May 2014 -

Ya abg, I got case number on 05/05 and also got my NVC welcome letter but still same error message... so i will call them again on Monday.. Lets figure it out...

i want to share something with you that today my wife did a call to NVC at early morning after 40 on hold an NVC representative told my wife she did call too early she should nt call this much early , they want her to call after 70 days ,30 for receiving from USCIS and 40 for processing n documentation , guys suggest me should we wait or should we call them again but couple of weeks later ? suggest highly appreciate

I think that representative may have just been throwing random numbers. The standard response most folks have been receiving is 4 weeks after receiving the case. 40 sounds excessive. Unless that is written down explicitly somewhere, I wouldn't go by that date. In these types of situations, they probably tell you a timeline longer than it should be so that they don't quote a date too early. They say it can take 30 days to receive from USCIS. Many of us had our cases reach within 2 weeks. I feel that they are working quicker on some of these cases as they realize that PDs are close to being current and that 60 day processing time for the NVC has to be sped up in order to keep up with the demand. I feel like they're more efficient and that our cases should be generally completed quicker than the timeline they've suggested. I'm going to call every Friday morning. If someone in the forum calls during the week and finds out that they have an assigned case number, that will be our queue to call and get it.

i told my wife about your situation as you mention on your timeline your case has been on NVC system they comfirmed you on phone within two weeks and our PD almost a month difference but years same , after reading you i think i suggest her to call them again end of this week or early next week , probably this individual representative is not much nice with customer as she should be well lets see what next one does

Thank you for adding the PD as I forgot to add it and I have added your NOA 2 approved date to the list. Good luck with your NVC journey and keep calling NVC in regards to case recieved date as that is what everyone in the room did and the first time I called I was told to wait 45 days then same for second time however, when I called third time that was when a nice gentle man told me that they have recieved it.

Hey everyone, I just updated this by Priority Date for better clarity. Looks like overall, we may be ~3 months away from PD being current for Nov filers. In my honest opinion, I think this is perfectly in line with the current NVC processing timeline. Assuming: It takes 60 days to process the case without issue, and the average VB movement is 4 weeks for the next 3 months, I think Nov filers will have their Interviews in August and should receive that notification late July. Fingers crossed!

I think within 2 weeks of NVC receiving case most of us will get their Case Numbers and IIN....Which part of India do u live..???

Thanks dew_drops. We petitioned for my wife's sister(my FIL is petitioner). I live in the US for 15 some yrs. She is from Surat but problem is that she turned 21 in march this year so there is a time crunch. I am seeing great progress from NVC which is really good sign. Lets pray that all get their visa soon.

04/01/2015 - I-130 Approved

04/21/2015 - NVC received Case

04/29/2015 - DS261 filled

05/02/2015 - Case under CSPA review

06/04/2015 - Supervisor review Initiated-Wait 42 days

Hi Guys,

Sorry i wasn't really responsive these days because of busy with the paperwork. Unfortunately I can't call NVC since i had a little argument with my lawyer about crossing the line (long story). Anyways, i am doing it with my lawyer so he said he will let me know once he gets any news from NVC so i can't really say anything about if NVC received my application or not now. You can update the record with Approval date is April 2, 2015. I'll keep you posted once i hear something from the lawyer.

I crossed my fingers for my wife and for you guys. I hope NVC process will be easy and fast for us.

Coolbone, our lawyer told us the same nonsense but it did not stop me from calling NVC and find out, which I did ! so my advise to you is you can contact them and find out if you wish to. Good luck
