Thanks for adding the info Habel. Now it's just the waiting period. Just to summarize next steps for us in this phase:

1. Approval (NOA2)

2. Wait upto 60 days for NVC to receive case

3. NVC assigns a case number

4. NVC invites you to select agent of choice DS-261

5. NVC requests to pay Affidavit Of Support fee

6. NVC requests to pay Immigrant Visa fee

7. NVC asks to submit the DS-260 form

8. Send AOS and IV package to NVC (Review time ~ 60 days or less)

8.5 If you receive a checklist - additional 60 days to review

9. Case Complete

[thanks for the step by step process i got letter of approval notice and I 797 was written on top, date was 27 jan 2015 and pd is 4th sep 2014 whats next will i be receiving can you please help

Did you get a refusal notice or a request for evidence notice (RFE)? they are different things. If they are asking for additional evidence, then it doesn't sound like a refusal. Your PD is May 2014 -

Ya abg, I got case number on 05/05 and also got my NVC welcome letter but still same error message... so i will call them again on Monday.. Lets figure it out...

I don't believe 3 years is necessary either only from personal experience. When my own greencard was being processed in 2011, we only sent in our sponsor's latest tax return. It didn't trigger a checklist. Assuming the terms of sponsorship are the same for F2A and F4, I feel it should be fine. I suppose it's safer if you send in as many years as you have.

Hi all, maybe my question is off topic - you would excuse me as I am new to this forum. I got my electronic approval notice on April 16, and tonight received it in mail. There is some point in the hard copy though that is making me worried! I wanted to know if that's the same for any body here. I am currently residing in and have been always been in the US on a valid F1 (student) visa. However, the notice says that I would not be eligible for adjustment of status and they sent my file to NVC for further process as it's completed on their end (i.e. USCIS end). I will be hopefully still on a valid F1 VISA till my priority date gets current. I would appreciate if you could share your ideas.

according to my search and studies regarding adjustment of status, you are eligible for it. But not now since the visa bulletin is not current for your prio date .

So as soon as it becomes current, you can inform NVC and start the adjustment. but my concern is that why didn't you apply for adjustment at the same of the petition. since you said you have been in US.?

Just spoke with NVC representative and our Case was received on 16 April 2015 @ NVC and we have been informed to wait 4 weeks to assign case no..

Marriage: 10/10/2013.

Hi Guys, Regarding Sponsor If you are sponsoring only 01 person plus u have to count yourself so last year(2014) tax amount for that was $20,020/year. so if you had made more than that u do not need any sponsorship but If you sponsoring your spouse and a 01 child the amount would be $43,941/year. again if there are spouse plus 02 children amount is different.

Again it clearly says on NVC website that you need to submit latest tax return form depends which form you ar filling as I864/864A/864EZ.

Generally if you are doing job and made more than sufficient as I mentioned above U need to feel i864EZ. and last year tax return with your job letter and you pay stubs.

NOTE: These documents you have to send to NVC but they might ask more documents at visa interview.

i want to share something with you that today my wife did a call to NVC at early morning after 40 on hold an NVC representative told my wife she did call too early she should nt call this much early , they want her to call after 70 days ,30 for receiving from USCIS and 40 for processing n documentation , guys suggest me should we wait or should we call them again but couple of weeks later ? suggest highly appreciate
