yeah .. i haven't even moved to Utah yet and already, most all of Clint's friends refer to me as "Canada".

"how's Canada doing?"

"when's Canada moving out here?"

my response being "as soon as Canada gets her damn consulate appointment eh?!!". arghh...

Your response should be "You calling me fat?" as in Canada being the second largest country!! lol Maybe my fried brain requires more coffee, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I say eh all the time. So do my English cousins, and I've known some Indians and Pakistanis who say it as well. Its not entirely unique to Canada. It is Bob & Doug McKenzie's fault that we get teased about it. And I've no idea where the oot and aboot comes from, but its not South Park. Its years before South Park. My Aunt used to have a winter home in Florida and for years her neighbours said that too her. Apparently to some ears it sounds like oot and aboot.

Personally, I think it sounds more Scottish than Canadian

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

well being a proud canadian i prefer EH over HUH any day . using HUH just makes people sound stupid. My husband uses huh alot and it gets on my nerves. He still thinks its cute if i occasionly type EH in a conversation.Guess we all have to make adjustments.
