Do you need to send in a copy of your divorce papers when you apply for AOS, EAD, and AP?

I have seen where some send them in with their papers when filing. I have not seen this requirement in the forms.

Yes, you need to send in divorce papers as well. From the instructions on the I-485 form:

If you are applying as the spouse of that person, also attach a copy of your marriage certificate and copies of documents showing the legal termination of all other marriages by you and your spouse;

EDIT: Actually I'm quoting out of context here, that only appears to be requested if you're applying through marriage to a green card holder.

Still I would send the documents anyway, the consequences could be getting an RFE and delaying your case.

Just provide what is requested. Anything else will be asked for. But, be prepared for everything when you go to the AOS interview.
