Try being denied, my husband was denied cr1 visa in Feb after a 11 month wait.now we wait again with endless phone calls to the nvc , senator, I'm truelly happy for those who are joined with their loved ones.but now I spend my days dealing with loss of my mother and not having my husband with me.I feel I can't breath at times, some days I feel I can't go on, but I do .I miss my husband so much. And one way or another we will spend our lives together.and I thought god was our only judge...

Your experience is much like mine, although we did not get denied, we had to file a waiver. I lost my mother, unexpectedly, this December 2014. I am so sorry for your loss. It is hard to deal with such a matter all alone.

So had my interview today and was approved, and whilst obviosuly happy this post is not about that, I write this for all those still waiting at TSC, you are not forgotten my friends!

I know the disparity between TSC and CSC processing times isn't exactly the biggest injustice in the world, but it is staggering that an organisation with the funding and size of USCIS can't sort it's s**t out, processing some people in a month while others in a year, for no other reason that geographical location.

I've been through almost a year of hell waiting at TSC while others sail through at CSC in a month or two. And you can say well its over now, or it will soon be forgotten, but I don't forget, and it will take a while for the scars to heal.

Am i being dramatic, well yeah a bit, a lot worse happens in the world, but thats not the point. Being seperated from your loved one for a year while others only face a couple months apart, when those people are paying the same for the same process is ridiculous. There are STILL people waiting at TSC who applied the sae time as me, so this is for you, I feel your pain, I'm praying for you and you are not forgotten, apart from by those working at TSC. For those at TSC, good luck, and god bless, I made it, just, you will too.

Why is there such a huge discrepancy between TSC and CSC processing times? Is the TSC having more applications or handling different types of applications?

Congrats. I am in the same position right now, it has been 308 days since I am waiting on my K-1 approval and I have not heard anything. Each time my fiancé called all he got is an answering machine, no one to answer his request.

You are well over processing time. Have the petitioner call the USCIS and demand to speak to a tier 2 agent.

^This.

OP: Congrats. Now as far as the subject line, I don't know about fairness. I know at the time my petition was going through TSC, I only waited just over 150 days for NOA2. It's extremely unfortunate that it has gotten worse from there. Two thing I can say about the wait that are positive is 1) it helped my Fiancee & I realize how true our feelings were for each other & 2) it helped us to not be overly concerned about the fact that it's currently taking USCIS about 1 year to process Greencards (AOS).

TSC is also the service center who produce and send out the Green Cards to all the new CR-1/IR-1 etc immigrants who have recently arrived in the US.

In 2013, almost zero petitions (other than expedites) were adjudicated. A lot of people ended up waiting over a year for their NOA2, not even due to security reasons. This was why the NVC got buried under an avalanche of new cases and processing times escalated rapidly. What used to take a month or two now takes half a year, or possibly more.

Now that these unfortunate 2013 immigrants have been arriving and are continuing to arrive in the US in their huge numbers, the TSC (the only service center who seems to produce the Green Cards for them) is probably overwhelmed with the amount of Green Cards they are having to mail out, and have pulled adjudicating staff away from new petitions to deal with it.

What I've written is conjecture, but it makes sense to me.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

To answer your question from the title of your thread, I don't really think anything about the process is fair. But then, I don' think life is fair either.

I'd like back the extra time we spent tied up in AP at NVC, please. I'd like to have that bit of time to do over, when my husband was well, and still himself.

Before he got so sick he ended up in hospital for 5 months, waiting on a donor, very soon after my arrival. Before the respiratory arrest, and two cardiac arrests, and all the medication he is stuck taking to the day it finally does end. Medications I have to dole out 18 times a days, because he is not longer really up to the task of remembering when, and how much. So yes, before the time I had to give up my shiny new job, and move in with his elderly Mum who has early stage Alzheimer's and morph into a full time care-giver for the pair of them. Lucky thing for them, I was in the medical field, and am not bothered by vomit, or giving injections, or any of the other little things that now fill up my days. Funny how things work out, isn't it. His mum doesn't like me much, and is as paranoid as they come, and most days has the opinion I am trying to do her in. Every day is a battle from daylight forward. Every day.

In a perfect world, we'd all sail right through this nonsense, it would take no time at all, and we'd all get the happily ever after ending we'd hoped lay ahead. I wish they understood, in their little cubicles pushing our documents back and forth, that time waits for no man. That ought to be written in flaming letters everywhere.

It will end, even if you are unfortunate to be sent to the hell that is the TSC. Things will move forward for you. I wish you all the best for the future. (F)

Yea you're right life isn't fair, your story proves that there is always someone worse off than yourself, and we have to be thankful for the smallest things in life. I wish you all the best, your situation will improve one way or another. You are amazingly strong, they and the world is lucky to have you...
