Adoption and immigration.

The ignorance is enormous.

Look at the number of folks who think their foreign spouses are automatically US citizens because they married US citizens.

Look at the number of folks who want to adopt a relative which two parents so the adopted relative can immigrate.

Children are not responsible for apply for green cards or US citizenship. The adopted USC parents are responsible. They should not be punished for a USC parent who is ignorant about adoption and citizenship laws.

Federal immigration officials say they became aware of Crapser after he applied to renew his green card two years ago: his criminal convictions, ranging from burglary to assault, made him potentially deportable under immigration law.

How do USC parents able to bring their adopted kids back to US without applying proper papers for them?

they were brought here and abandoned, plus it was thirty years ago.

personally i don't think that people who were brought here as children should ever be deported back to a country they do not know. usc parents or otherwise.

simply reading two past charges doesn't give you a whole lot of information to judge.

that aside, it is wrong to deport someone to a country they have not lived in since they were a child.

Another thing happening in the U.S., parents adopt a foreign kid, don't like the kid and give the kid away on Craig's list. Do you think the child has ever received the proper visa to be here? The kid goes from home to home.

So the issue is forcibly removing people, I thought you meant because he grew up in the US.

I accept that some people will not leave voluntarily.

no, the issue is dropping people off in a country where they have little to no means of self sufficiency. it's the same thing in my mind if we started flying random uscs to the congo and dropped them off for good. have fun!

Seems he has some skills that will easily transfer.

Or is this a dig at the US education system?
