So My Expedite Request was denied...

Basically what I get from this is because his case is completed and they are waiting to schedule his interview they will not expedite his interview apt??? Ok. And I still haven't gotten a response from my Congressman.

This was the response....

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: ************ filed by ************ on behalf of *************.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate has denied your request for expeditious processing of this immigrant visa petition. This petition will continue processing at the NVC. Once the NVC receives and reviews the required fees and documents, a visa interview appointment will be scheduled based on capacity at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

For further information regarding NVC processing, please visit: http://nvc.state.gov/.

The NVC completed its processing of **********visa petition.

The petition is waiting for an appointment to be scheduled at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in KINGSTON, JAMAICA. When an interview appointment is scheduled, the petitioner, principal applicant, designated agent, and attorney of record (if applicable) will be notified.

You'll be great! The Senegal embassy is like this too, no one allowed in except for the person interviewing. I'm the USC, so I waited outside (1.5 hours). We just did a bunch of extra practice sessions ahead of time since my husband wasn't very familiar with how I had organized the paperwork and his culture is not big on memorizing important dates! And he brought in my passport to show that I was waiting outside which I think was nice and showed the CO that I was really there in person and really live abroad with him.

Thank you for your encouragement. We´ll do that too. :)

Jamy, it states that a spouse isn't required to attend. It doesn't state that he can't attend with you, therefore he's more than welcome to join :) Congrats, my wife will be there on the 27th of May!

I know, I was thinking the same. But unfortunately the consulate wrote in their email-answer: he is NOT allowed and but the words in bold letters :(

Just got our interview date for MAY 27, 2015 in MONTREAL! So excited! Anyone that has completed their interview and was approved, did they ask a lot of scary questions? Also, for the POE we aren't going to fly. I'm actually going to drive there to pick him up and bring him back. Anyone else have this experience that can tell me if it went well for them?

me too i thought iam done with this sh***t after i got my cc but it seem iam not

Likewise. It is absolute ********* ***** and makes me want to ******* *******. :wow: haha :goofy:

In all seriousness though its such a shame that even once we have a CC it can take over a month just for a interview DATE. Tbh I am shocked at that the US government thinks it is ok to treat it OWN citizens in this manner. Irregardless of us, it is standard practice to keep spouses from their partners and children for upwards of 16 months which is stunning.

But I have my fingers crossed that next week we can start seeing some more interviews :)

Me too! I seriously feel like a volcano about to erupt! I don't know how much more of this g** d*** b*** s*** I can possibly take! I cannot believe I have been waiting 9 1/2 weeks since CC, and still no g** d*** interview! I have been staying away from everyone because I am like a ticking time bomb. One wrong word from someone and I will explode. I really do not know how to calm my nerves anymore.

Waiting for an interview date at the Islamabad embassy too? Just hold on, hopefully they'll be scheduling them soon iA. They had to cancel interviews for today and Monday because they're relocating to a new building, but hopefully we'll have the same fortune as our Canadian friends and have a bunch of interviews scheduled at once.
