You talked to someone who didn't know.

Email the embassy and ask that your spouse be added to the list to enter embassy.

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Germany&cty=Frankfurt

Can fiance(e)/spouse attend the interview? Yes

Thank you dwheels!

But my husband (petitioner) mailed them and that was their email-answer: no, you are not allowed! :(

Edit: Do you think it makes a difference WHO ask them? Is it a good idea that I as beneficiary email them again with the same question?

Ok so I requested an expedite last week; wife emailed the Dublin embassy asking for an update and they wrote:

"We have advised the National Visa Center that we are willing to accept the case for processing. NVC will now mail the case to us which can take up to three weeks.

The Immigrant Visa Unit will not schedule an interview appointment until all requirements have been met and all documents available to present on the day of interview. "

To me it looks like they have approved it right??? just want to get a second opinion before we get too excited haha

So we should get an email from the NVC also confirming and hope they can send it soon!!

What does everyone think??

Thanks :)

Maybe they changed policy than. You can always ask again. Don; think it matters who asks. Especially seeing he is the US citizen and its a US embassy and they said no.

Without expedite our interview would be July or August the embassy on the phone so I am hoping they will get us a May or Jun date :)

Going to phone NVC now, I have to say it's a relief!

I understand your nerves. What makes me so mad about all this is why should you or any of you be nervous and scared when you know your marriage and relationships are real, legit and above board!! :protest::ranting:

Just makes me made when I see good people like you nervous and worried and why are we worried because we have to be judged YES judged by some human emotion Its a crying shame I am trying my damnest to fight. A CO is suppose to deny only when their is documented evidence of fraud or inadmissibility. Not a feeling, not a thought, "not a well seems like". Just pisses me off.

Sorry rant over LOL.

By the way you will be fine It's Germany should be no issue.

Nah, we are upgraded to CR1 now, so it can't be that - another fella I know was quoted July/Aug too - but their expedite was accepted too, and they didnt even really have an excuse like us, so maybe Dublin ackwnowledge something is wrong and trying to fix it. They are quite pleasant to deal with which is a refreshing change of pace haha

Now I hope they can get us a nice date :)

We asked the US consulate in Frankfurt if the petitioner (USC) is allowed to attend the interview. The answer was no. :(

Now I am wondering if that is a bad sign since I know there have been other people in Frankfurt where the petitioning spouse attented interview.

Any thoughts???

Really?? Huh. Did you call or send an email? I've sent an email to my embassy asking if my wife can accompany me and they said yes and asked for her name so she can be added to the visitors list.

Edited: ooops...you sent an email:)

Good luck!!!
