Thanks Suzie! What do you mean call them before? I will be doing my POE through montreal airport to NYC. So i call the american customs and immigration and let them know that at the airport??? Hmm interesting … I wonder where i can get the number from...

That sounds reasonable. I've also seen suggestions that you call a few days before and give them a head's up that you'll be doing your POE there so they can be a little prepared

HELP PLEASE!!!!

Nvc just booked my interview for Montreal yestaurday, they put my son and I for MAY 6th 2015!!!! I'm soooo excited BUT there are no available appointments for any medical..... I called everyone in Toronto and Montreal! What do I do? How could NVC schedule us on such short notice and we can't even get a medical done? Everyone is fully booked, what can I do...please help...

Congrats everyone on the new Canadian interviews! I got word that my interview date is May 11th for the Montreal consolate. In the letter they sent, it said to read the Montreal specific article here: http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Supplemental/MTL%20-%20Montreal.pdf

In that article, it says the following:

Does this mean we have to confirm our interviews? I tried going through the registration and it said no interview is available for my case number.

This is the 2nd round. Canada is always one of the last. Every embassy is different. Yours may have been done last month and had no more sots. Some embassies just stop and will wait until the next month. June scheduling hopefully will start end of this moth first week on May.

And when I selected Montreal, it said what I wrote. I'm pretty sure it's generic, otherwise it would be a pretty hidden way to get us to confirm. I'll probably call tomorrow to make sure though. I'd rather be over prepared for this.

Isn't KCC Diversity Lottery folk. do believe this is generic. NVC at times does send wrong letters.

We asked the US consulate in Frankfurt if the petitioner (USC) is allowed to attend the interview. The answer was no.

Now I am wondering if that is a bad sign since I know there have been other people in Frankfurt where the petitioning spouse attented interview.

Any thoughts???

Just curious about the Montreal Consulate and the timing of booking of interviews.

I noticed a number of people filing IR-1 got May interviews in the past few days ...Congrats to all of you.

I also noticed that many of them have interview dates earlier in May than ours and we got our P4 letter and interview date on March 27/15 and our interview isn't until May 20/15

Not that I'm complaining, it gives me plenty of time to get documents together and do the medical, as I had to travel to BC for the medical.

Look at priority dates. This is usually when those come into play. Look at them and compare.

May 6th!! oh my gosh!

Just my personal experience so far: I am heading 5hrs east of where I live for my interview, so a hotel is a must. I was able to score a $70 room for hubby and I from airbandb.com. Fo r anyone who is trying to keep costs down, i highly recommend them! We are staying a 10 minute walk from the consulate!

Book whatever date is available. Ask the clinic to call if there are cancellations. Still go to your interview and they will hold everything until they get your medical. DO NOT cancel or move your interview.

My interview is May 6th as well! I was able to get a medical with Dr. Lyndon Mascarenhas (scheduled yesterday)- they prefer email communication, and got back with me withing 30 minutes (i spoke with them late yesterday afternoon.. around 4) you can reach them at visadoctor.com. Not sure if you already tried him, but it may be worth emailing!

You talked to someone who didn't know.

Email the embassy and ask that your spouse be added to the list to enter embassy.

It will stay in READY until issues. You may see it change to Administrative Processing. Don;t freak that is normal they when VISA is printed it says issued. Everything is normal.

dwheels76, where can I find priority dates? We started this process in May of 2013....and I don't know what or if we have a priority date
