They don't care we've been waiting. Their job is to process stuff, not to care about us. And frankly, given how crappy the working conditions supposedly are there, I do not at all wonder at them not caring. Look up the worker reviews for the NVC sometime, it sounds AWFUL. I honestly do feel for them.

And there's no one with any actual power over this for us to contact. There's nothing we can do other than live with this.

Well they can't make it too easy for Canadians to get into America or we might... contribute to their economy and, uh, drive across their borders for cheap gas?

So, should we ask for expedites to have an interview booked asap? Or should we just wait? Monday will be one month since my case complete...

I'm hoping we'll see interviews start being assigned later this week, but my wife's had some health issues and I need to get there sooner if at all possible, so we're trying for an expedite once she gets all the papers from her doctors to be able to prove why we would need one.

So I played around with the tracking on the DHL website today since I called yesterday and they said there's still no interview date scheduled for me. It seems like packages are still going out albeit none to South Africa but at least they're not at a standstill.

Remember K1's and reaffirms go through NVC.

isn't there something we can do about this nonsense? and since this appears to be on nvc's end and not individual embassy's there has to be someone we can contact to express our opinions too.

the longer they delay assigning interviews the more backlog there's going to be, especially the way they're spitting out cc's.!

Why not each and everyone of you tomorrow contact your congressperson/Senator. We about what 20 to 30 countries here with who knows how many states represented it could get that logjam going.

Finally today my husband case changed from administrative processing to issue.... how long does it take for them to issue the visa ? We signed up for him to pick it up from DSL place

I "treated myself" to an RCMP one - as the 9 months in NVC was adding too much dust on the other ones. Delightfully quick!

Sukie, How come they didnt take the 2013 tax returns? I will have the 2014 tax return copies with me at the interview, and the last three years as well. Thanks!

I wish I knew. What I do know was that our financials were very comfortably over the poverty line (that was before I retired!!!!). Perhaps they were more than satisfied with my prior years!

I was prepared, which I think you will be, too! That's our "insurance"!!!
