Hi guys.

Everyone here (and on the spreadsheet) says they have gotten their interview dates a few DAYS after getting the case complete letter. It's almost 3 weeks and I'm still waiting...

I was notified that my case was completed on March 25. It's now April 13...Where is my interview date?! I'm starting to worry they lost my packet again...

2012 July 1: Met in Switzerland <3

2014 Jan 23: Married in Cyprus!

2014 Feb 2: I-130 Packet Shipped

2014 Feb 19: NOA-1

2014 July 7: Email Notice of transfer to California Service Center

2014 July 16: Approved!!!!

2014 August 29: Sent AOS packet

2014 December 19: Sent IV packet

2015 March 25: Case complete at NVC (apparently it was forgotten, which is why it's >90 days)

2015 April 16: P4 email received, interview date assigned

2015 May 28: Interview date!! -- Visa Rejected, "missing" paperwork.

Wrong military papers. Not enough Intent to Return to the US. I cannot be financial sponsor because I am overseas.

2015 June 18: Mailed all missing documents.

2015 June 23: Consulate rec'd missing documents.

2015 June 25: Status moved to AP. But still lists status as "SEND DOCUMENTS". Emailed...

2015 Aug 6: Received Visa in mail

2015 Aug 18: Arrived in US

question....will 2014 taxes info need to be presented at the interview?

we got our cc based upon 2013, 2012 and 2011 tax docs. we have filed for an extension this year as we file jointly and I have not completed my cdn tax info yet, nor will I till the end of the month. once mine are completed, my husband can complete his, then file.

I'm sure our interview will happen long after we both file but I won't have the original, only copies...if needed are copies acceptable?

just planning ahead......thx!

Mrs thb - you never know. We got our cc in June 2014 based upon 2012, 2011, and 2010 tax returns. AOS was approved on April 15th. CC was June 6th. I took 2013 tax returns to my spouse's interview, and they wouldn't even take them.

I think a lot depends upon your Embassy/Consulate and how far above the poverty line your sponsor is.

Good luck!

Okay just for a little clarification if one of you could set me straight I suppose. We did the 601A before the interview he went to the interview today they told him he was approved and CEAC website says refused does the 601A work the same way as the 601 that it will come up saying refused until the VISA is issued?

When you say he's been here 15 years. Do you mean here in the US? Do you also have to file a I601 waiver. Can you give us some backstory here.

No they would not have refused for waiting for a medical. The Visa was denied but that would go along with a I601 waiver.

**Never mind** went to your profile and see your had to file the I601. All Visas will say refused when a I601 is involved. That's why you need the waiver because your Visa is denied. Now the I601 kicks in and you have more waiting to do. No problem. Pheww you said its already approved so no worries dear. Had me going there. LOL

The Visa will say refused because it is that's why you need the waiver that is to be expected. Now the waiver has to go through the channels. I would go over to the waivers forum and ask they would be better suited on the particulars.

Interesting. Most organizations would be too embarrassed to admit their "computers" are down, to anyone, much less customers.

Was crunching numbers on DWheel's gorgeous spreadsheet, and for 114 Canadian data points gathered since May 2013, looks like the average number of days folks waited for an interview to be scheduled was 14 (give or take 10). Good news is that the CC to interview date will include this nail-biting time. (Average days between CC and interview was 54, or about 8 weeks.) I'm assuming the past is an indication of the future... but we all seem to be part of some sort of a "tidal wave" cohort.

Here's hoping that this week brings some good news for all of us here in limbo!

sad to say, I agree with you. although I am 15 days behind you I'm not expecting any news before the end of next week, maybe even month end for a late June/very early July interview. looking at the data, there are 8 Canadians waiting interviews (all case completes from Mar 23 to Apr 7), wow the NVC was really on a Canadian roll. If I get in sooner, it really will be a miracle.

Well, I'm at 21 days now, so if we don't hear anything by Thursday, then we're looking at abnormal timelines.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

Congratulations :) If you dont mind sharing, why was your case in AP. Thanks!

I don't mind sharing. We were not told why AP was necessary. We completed all of the required paperwork. Frankly, my husband is from Egypt, was born in Iraq and works in the UAE.

According to the e-mail the embassy sent to my senator's office- they were completing mandated by law extra security checks. His interview went very smoothly. Thanks!

Just an update friends!

I called Mumbai embassy today and they said that they have interview openings in May as well and they have no clue why NVC is not scheduling.

When my husband called NVC yesterday, they told that they are waiting for interview opening details by embassy.

I feel so low friends. Dont understand that who is lying to us and why?? Dont we have right to correct information. If they are not planning to schedule for one whole month then they should speak it upfront and notify us. Why keep us in dark?? Why every night we have to sleep thinking when will P4 come?? Why every morning wake up and checking mail has to be first thing??

And, on top of it we have no deadline for that..at least people who are waiting for CC has a deadline and a hope too that it will take max 60 days..We dont have any such deadlines..

Devastated totally
