Just leave it alone, you're making it worse for those who appreciate the help and are waiting patiently. We all know it isn't a walk in the park and that the process takes time. All of us are in the same situation, and dwheels is a big help. Use the help to your advantage, not nitpick and get upset with the straight forward aproach. No need to sugar coat anything.

It is well. I can see how you might have taken my response as snarky. But it wasn't meant that way. I said did you get an interview which you could have gotten. I never assume. But you have to realize when I answer questions I also am trying to answer for a wider audience. People come to these threads months years after all of you have gone on with your lives. If they choose to read I want them to follow along and know the facts of the matter and know what is going on.

Again I do apologize if I came off as harsh or shirt. Was not my intention. Trust me on this. I love maintaining this thread. It was birthed from a very close friend of mine that moved on after her husband got here back in 2012.

I want the best for you all you are more like my children (I think I am old enough for that). I am praying that soon P4 letters start raining down.

i have noticed one thing. when ever i email embassy and then when they answer my email.i see my case has been updated in NVC website,

Case Creation Date: 20-Aug-2014 Status Updated Date: 10-Apr-2015

i think its good to ask them lot of questions.this way they update in system .i asked them abt documents i have ,and what else i need.they are really helpful

Where do you people see updates always on nvc? I log onto https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/click check my visa application and it just says at NVC. No kind of update thingys.

Haha, no worries. I got 87 emails in total Had to turn off the Gmail notifications on my phone as it kept going off for each one.

Yes anytime they touch your case they update the status. Remember the CO is also prepping for interview reviewing what they need to also and gathering their questions they will ask based on what you provided and what they may have looked into.

Those updates you will see once your case is at the embassy. Every time they touch it, read it, update it, the status update will show it on the ceac website.

For you I am sorry but it just says At NVC. Once you get an interview if you watch it closely(it happens so fast when it does ship out) you may get to see it changed to IN-Transit. Then once at embassy changes to READY and you start seeing the Status updates.

congratulations to you and your wife!!!! i husband picked up his visa/passport today!!!

We are pleased that my wife's interview was successful and her visa was approved today. We arrived at the U.S. embassy in New Delhi 30 mins earlier than interview appt time. My wife gave all papers based on the interview instructions and fingerprints were scanned.

The interview officer asked my spouse some questions:
1) who is the petitioner? (My husband xxxxxxx)
2) where does he live? (Answer)
3) what is his job position? (Answer)
4) how did you and your husband meet? (Answer)
5) was it love marriage or arranged marriage? (It was love marriage)
6) when did you and your husband get married? Where? (Answer)
7) how many people attended your wedding? Did your family and relatives attend (Answer and yes, respectively)
8) after marriage, did he visit you? (Yes, twice)
9) did you communicate often? (Yes, email, skype, phone, and social media chat- show chat transcript)
10) do you have wedding photos? Can I see them? (Answer and show photo album.

Then officer smiled and said, "Congratulations! You have been approved!" And instructed to pay fees after visa is issued and before departing to the U.S. We exited the U.S. embassy with big smile face! The interview lasted 15 mins. Total time including standing outside the embassy and sitting inside the embassy was almost 2 1/2 hours. We will pick up the passport in few days. Thanks to dwheels and other VJ admins. We are looking forward to traveling to the U.S. soon!

Still waiting for my husband status on website to change from administrative processing to Issue. Its been a long journey. Just want him home. Does anyone know how long it takes for time to issue the visa after the interview?

Someone will maybe know better than me...but if you are in administrative processing, doesn't that mean that his interview was not successful and whoever interviewed him either wants more time to look over things or needs you to submit more information?! I don't know for sure but I've just been learning from reading people's experiences on here. From what I know, if you are in administrative processing you should not expect to receive your visa until you hear back from the consulate and it can take a little or a lot of time! I hope I'm wrong!!! I just didn't want your question to go unanswered again.

Hi everybody!!! How is everyone doing? My husband's interview got approved and he'll be flying in a week or so. However I have a question, since it hasn't been more than 2 years since our marriage, what are the next necessary steps. Anyone with any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated I'm praying for a speedy union of your loved ones God is good. Keep smiling

What is a usual outcome if one calls and hears the same stuff about "embassy sending slots and yetta yetta." then asks to talk to a supervisor? What can they do or what happens? 40 day wait for supervisor review or that only for documents? Or is this not even possible once case is closed?

I call twice a day to hear the same thing, "embassy sends slots in. When one is available for you it'll be scheduled." They cant say what place i am in line for one, they cant say if there is still availability just NOTHIN. Am I asking the wrong questions? Should I be saying it a different way? Every time we email (no phone calls allowed) the embassy clearly says "we do, yes, send them interview slots, however we have plenty of openings so I am not sure of what the hold up is. You would have to call nvc to ask. I would assume interview would be scheduled 3-7 days after case completed" I am getting so annoyed with this process

If you are looking at where you can see the summary of what you have done so far in your case and want to keep checking whether you have the famous 3N/A, then google consular electronic application center and in the sub-titles click on immigrant Visa and NOT visa status. Just in case that's where you were trying to get cause it took me a while and frustrations to keep seeing that message about my application being in NVC......cause I already knew that! Good luck to us all.
