My husband passed his interview today at the Ghana, Accra embassy.

All he was asked to is bring a new birth certificate since we have the old version.

To God be the Glory.

I was there with him.

Will update and write on experience and everything..

Should I be concerned that my CC was two weeks ago and my status on CEAC is still "At NVC?" On the speadsheet others for Spain have gotten an interview date a little over two weeks after CC so I'm hoping that comes within a few days, but should my status have changed by now?

No your status doesn't change until you get an interview. Than it changes to In-Transit than when it arrives at Embassy READY. More than likely your CC came after they were complete with scheduling for the month. Sorry.

I called today and they said my case was closed March 27. Finger cross for a may interview. The lady said there is still slots open for May.

the only things we were asked to bring to the interview in the letter was the medical reports, passport, 2 photos, copies of civil docs and that was the only things they took. they returned all the originals that we had sent to NVC. my husband was asked about 15-20 questions it was quiet intense and intimadating the way they ask you questions. the lady started with how we met, how long we talked before we got married, how did we communicate and at what point did we involve our parents. she also asked things like if mine and his parents used to talk to each other when we were not present when they got involved. he was asked if i went back to india to see him after the wedding (which i had on his birthday to surprise him). then she asked if he had and picture which we had tons of. she looked at pictures from our honeymoon and from the second visit and asked where different pics were taken. she did not request to see our wedding photobook or text msges or call log or the 2014 tax returns. all together it took him about 2hrs in the embassy our interview was at 10 and he was done by 12

I'm finally with my husband and I'm absolutely loving the USA, I arrived on Saturday morning and the POE was a breeze I had no problems whatsoever. Thanks to all who encouraged me and showed me love and support and I want to wish all of u out there still waiting to have faith.

I just want to ask a quick question.: We have been trying to pay the elis fee however every time we try it keeps on saying "unable to proceed payment due to system error " anyone knows why it's saying that or what we could do?

Ah the wait from CC to get an interview is just pure ugh.. thought it would be so much easier. Boy was I wrong.

This might be a stupid question but I can´t get it out of my mind.

Every time I call NVC they tell me they do not have any access to interview information nor dates etc. I have to wait until my interview email.

I talked to at least 10 different (nice) reps.

So why are there people who get told there are still slots open????

Because you got a hold of reps that don;t know nothing. Every Rep doesn't do interview scheduling. It's a hit and miss. Yes NVC does the scheduling and yes they know if their are slots open. If they choose to tell they do. Sometimes they say there are none and people get an email. I think they are just trying to divert you to not call and wait on the emails.
