Got through to the nicest guy ever at the NVC. Reviewed our DS-261 over the phone and let me know that our package was received today so should have the IV invoice in 3 days. :-)

Also he said and i quote 'its taking around 30 days to review documents' fingers crossed it does only take that long :-)

30 days sounds soooo exciting, fingers crossed!!!! :dancing:

It's strange that it takes 42 days becuz they give cc nowadays after 30 days and o went to the supervisor becuz my case didn't get reviewed after the 60 days mark.. Ao they should have been much faster than 42 days thing...

i guess this is just a textbook reply, my review isnt even for cc its for a simple aos payment, but thats what they said when i called " it takes up to 42 days" and like i said its been 3 weeks now for us and nothing changed.

lets hope u get urs done sooner! (F)

Why is the list in original post only for spousal visas?

Aren't there many I-140, NVC, Consular Processing people here?

Because this thread is posted in the IR-1/CR-1 spousal thread ;)

And no, there aren't a lot of your visas in this sub-forum as this is specifically for spousal visas. You may want to look in one of the other forums specifically for your visa type.

Probably cause the majority of visa applicants are for spousal/fiance, and less so for work visas. There may be another website though that is specifically for work visa applicants, so you may want to look around Google.

This site, specially the name doesn't specifically mention spousal visas. This came to my google search. Although I get tons of information from here. But looks like it is geared more towards spousal visa applications alone.

No, but a website name doesn't have to reflect the primary content of the website. And technically, there is a work visa subsection, although because there are more visa applicants for spousal/fiance, it's not as "popular" as the spouse/fiance subsections.

Saylin, please! Desperate for your help! We got checklist on our AOS.

We filed I-864EZ and 1040. What do we have to use as adjusted gross income? Line 22?

We got opposite suggestions: some say line 37, some say 22.

We got opposite suggestions: some say line 37, some say 22.

I know you're asking Saylin, but if you look at what I have copied from the instructions and the 1040 form you will see what I am telling you is correct.

*Instructions for the I-864EZ

For purposes of this affidavit, the line for gross (total) income on IRS Forms 1040 and 1040A will be considered when determining income. For persons filing IRS Form 1040EZ, the line for adjusted gross income will be considered.

IRS 1040 Form:

22 Combine the amounts in the far right column for lines 7 through 21. This is your total income

***************************************************

If you filed a 1040 form you use the total income not adjusted income. Therefore the answer is Line 22 = Total Income

30 days was consistent with our experience, even though the email said 60 days
