NVC Filers - April 2015

I received my case number on 3/7/2015. Accessed the DS-261 form and AOS fee 3 days later. However, I must mention that I waited for the NVC to mail my case number. I didn't call to ask for it from an agent.

Just got off the phone and was able to have our DS-261 reviewed over the phone - Took 11 days

NVC received the documents I submitted on 04/14...scan date 04/16. According to phone agent it'll take 40 days to review but the email says 60 days. Guess we'll see which one is real.

You should make a timeline so we can know your situation better. To answer your question, after the fee's have been paid you can then have access to form DS-260 and once all your supporting documents have been sent and reviewed and checklists if any taken care of you will have a case complete and will then wait for an interview to be scheduled by the NVC.

Thank you so much for information. heres our timeline so far and I already paid my lawyer for the AOS and IV fees last April 7, 2015.

Feb 12, 2015 - I-130 sent.

Feb 17, 2015 - NOA1.

March 13, 2015 - I-130 Approved.

March 26, 2015 - USCIS sent our case to the dept. of state for visa processing.

April 07, 2015 - We received the NVC case number and the AOS invoice and IV invoice.

Okay so because you are using a lawyer you will NOT have to fill out the choice of agent (DS-261) and your fees were invoiced together. Next step is sending in your documents (AOS & IV packages together) and submitting your DS-260 once it becomes available. I assume your lawyer does all of this for you? Sit back and wait for a case complete.

Yoooohoooooo just saw 3 n/a's on the ceac portal. So excited. Hoping it's true but will have to wait till Monday to call and confirm with them.

Ok which means since Im using a lawyer also thats means I don't get to fill ot DS261. No wonder I haven't been able to see it.

You can call anytime regardless who you put as your agent. It's your and your wife's case. As long as you have the case number, date of birth of the beneficiary and petitioner's information ready when you call, you're all set.

Hello to all you lovely people! After a little less than 4 months of submitting our I-130 petition application to the USCIS, my husband received a welcome letter from the NVC through mail yesterday! The letter, dated April 10, states our case and invoice number, plus the next following steps to follow! We also checked our NVC case status online, and it basically is the same as with the letter! Next step would be choosing an agent. Hopefully, the NVC process will not take too long! ?

Dear fellows,

My scan date was feb 13,

I called April 7, they told me my case should have been reviewed and the rep told me that she will make a notice to a supervisor..

Now, my case is at the supervisor but every time i try to call them to ask about the time they tells me smth different..

Someone told me it takes 2 weeks.. Another one told me 3 weeks and last one told me it may takes up to 42 days..

Can any one tells me what actually happened to him/her or what actually happening there at the nvc?

Hey guys!! I work for 3 different companies..should I submit 3 different letters of employment. Also I work as a per diem. I don't have a fixed salary.
