How long does it seem to take to get NOA1 after their receipt of application? Ours arrived there on Sat April 18th, and I am starting to get concerned.....I thought the worry of USCIS was behind us :-(

That's what we want to know ... we sent ours out on the 17th & it was delivered via USPS on 20th. We are moving out of state on Tuesday so we went ahead and did the online address change with USCIS and the post office.

Looks like a lot of people who filed after the first week of April haven't seen much yet. We sent ours on the 15th, and it was received a few days later, but haven't heard anything. Check hasn't been cashed yet and no NOA1. Maybe there's a delay because they've diverted resources because of tax day on the 15th? Or, everyone is out on spring break?

I guess we are all on the slow boat. We sent ours on April 9th, received on the 10th.

Lots of people waiting along with you...ours was received on the 13th and we have heard absolutely nothing.

Mine was received on the 21st and nothing yet, check not even cashed yet. I'm thinking someone was on vacation in Spring break and now there catching up with the back log.

Timeline:

Dec 31st 2011- I-129F sent
August 2nd 2012- INTERVIEW- APPROVED
August 10th 2012- Visas received
August 21st 2012- P.O.E Boston!

September 11th 2012- Applied for SSN.
September 16th 2012- MARRIED!!!
September 17th 2012- Received SSN.
October 26th 2012- Sent off AOS forms.

January 16th 2013- EAD and AP card issued.
January 26th 2013- Card received in mail.

May 29th 2013- Service request, as outside of processing times.

June 25th 2013- Green card/EAD stamp received in passport. Green card production ordered!

July 5th 2013- Green card arrives :)

August 22nd 2014- Daughter Born!

April 17th 2015- I-751 Sent.

April 20th 2015- NOA 1

June 2nd 2015- Biometrics Appt.

February 2nd 2016- I-751 APPROVED! 10 Year Green card issued!

 

February 22nd 2019 Applied for Citizenship! 

March 14th 2019 - Biometrics appt.

April 23rd 2019 - Interview. APPROVED!!!!!  It took 60 days!!!

I just checked my mailbox and bank account and nothing yet. It's been 13 days since they received my package.

I found on the USCIS website that you can submit an inquiry if you didn't receive a NOA but they state: "Do not submit an inquiry if you recently filed an application. You should receive a receipt notice within 30 days after filing at a Service Center or 10 days after filing at a Lockbox."

So I guess we have to wait 30 days before we send any inquiries.

While the list we are completing to track everyone is good - it's very deceptive. the NOA1 date makes it look like it's received the next day.

I really wish there was a column that showed when we each mailed our package, when it was delivered to CSC / VSC, when checks were cashed, and when the physical NOA1 & biometrics letters were received. IMO, it gives us and others a better feel with how the system is moving.

Is anyone receiving text msgs or emails from USCIS with updates?

So from my understanding on April 1st of every year both Services Centers started receiving applications for H1-B visas (work visas) and there is a cap on number of applications those Service Centers can process and it seems like it is first come first served...... so beginning of April they got bombarded of applications and our packages are in the middle of those hundreds of thousands packages. They don't know what the package is about until they open it and I am guessing they have A LOT of packages to open taking by the numbers the article states.

"Last year, USCIS received 172,400 H-1B cap-subject petitions for only 85,000 visa numbers. We again expect a similar announcement by Tuesday, April 7, 2015"

I guess April is not the best month to send applications. lol If I only new :D
