Phew!!! Received my approval today too from the Vermont center!!

I just have one question though... it advises not to travel abroad until the new card comes, which could take 60 days, but i'm literally flying back to England for a one week vacation in two days!1 I still have my one year extension letter, which is still valid, will this be enough?

Congrats!! You are fine to travel before your new card arrives but in case you do not receive the card by then, print out a copy of your approval notice and carry with you together with the extension letter. It's been a long while since you filed for ROC and the CBP officers might question why you haven't received your new card yet. You can explain the situation if they ask.

Could you also tell us your filing and NOA dates to have an idea where VSC right now?

Thank you so much, i figured that would be the case, but hadn't thought about how much time has passed, and the problems that could cause. I forget the date i filed, but it was about April 3rd and my NOA was April 27th, then appointment notice May 16th followed by biometrics on June 01st.

No problem. Better to carry more printouts than having a headache after a long flight. Last month a May VSC filer posted about her trouble coming back in. She said the CBP agent had no idea about the backlog at VSC, and questioned her why her case was still not approved after 8 months. In your case it is almost 10 months but you are finally approved. Congrats again and enjoy your trip!

Congratulation on your approval

I got approval last Friday.

For FYI

In letter it says that if an emergency aries and u need to travel outside USA prior to receiving your Permanent Resident Card, you may take an appointment at local USCIS office to request a stamp in your passport that shows temporary evidence of status as a lawful permanent resident.

My approval letter came today after I got the email and status change earlier today for card in production. The online status went straight from "We have received your application" to "Card in production", there was no online change to say I was approved despite the letter stating approval was decided 5 days ago.

My approval letter came today after I got the email and status change earlier today for card in production. The online status went straight from "We have received your application" to "Card in production", there was no online change to say I was approved despite the letter stating approval was decided 5 days ago.

Congrats kiwivisa! Good to see the gaps in April VSC timeline are also filling. I checked timelines for the remaining accounts but nothing to report. 1.618, Kiplz, and lolasoy have not even logged in since June/July 2015, so who knows about their status.
