We went to info pass yesterday and asked the officer if we could get biometrics done same day, so he called and they agreed. Turns out hubby was scheduled for biometrics on May 14th, but we didn't get the notice.

You need to check with USPS and make sure they are delivering your mail! That's two notices. Triple check USCIS has the exact address too. How very frustrating for you.

either we don't need to get biometrics again or we need to wait a little longer is fine with me as long as we have an answer for this silence. :)

Hi again dagnylet,

Earlier this week, we received an email response to our service request. Here's part of it:

"Thank you for your inquiry regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC). We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice for this process. Please know that your name has been electronically added to the appointment scheduler. You will receive an ASC appointment notice by mail once an appointment date has been established for you."

So, there's our answer... just need to wait... Hopefully, you'll get word sometime soon! :)

August 2008 - met when we were both living in England

February 2009 - began dating

May 28, 2011 - got engaged

August 5, 2011 - got married (in England)

September 29, 2011 - moved to Mexico

VISA PROCESS:

December 3, 2012 - sent I-130 to Mexico City (DCF)

December 6, 2012 - I-130 approved

December 14, 2012 - NVC case number assigned and instruction letter sent from Juarez Consulate but we NEVER received it

March 4, 2013 - called to check about our case and received our NVC case number and Invoice number

March 9, 2013 - submitted DS-260 online

April 17, 2013 - interview date - visa approved!!!

July 11, 2013 - POE: entered US through Dallas, TX

July 22, 2013 - Social Security Card delivered

August 22, 2013 - Green Card delivered

I agree. You still have time to check what's happening with USPS and set things straight before you get any important notices from USCIS or even your green card. You won't want to miss those!

The officer at the infopass appt let us know that they had the wrong address. We called last week and the lady said they she would fix it. He said the problem is that the operators are contracted so a lot of times they dont follow through, all they care about is answering the phones. He fixed the address for us.

06/10/2015-Went to info pass appt. Hubby got a 1yr. Extension stamp in his passport and biometrics done

08/12/2015-ROC Approved. Got letter in the mail.

08/29/2015-received new card in the mail.

Hi all,

I sent my removal of conditions to the California Service Center on 4/20/2015 and received NOA1 on 4/28/2015 (please add me to the list if you wish). Since I had not received a notice regarding a biometrics appointment I called USCIS last Friday (6/12/2015). Today I received a letter in the mail stating the following:

"USCIS has received your service request. We are unable to move forward with your application until the Field Office has received your file from the Western Service Center. Once the office within your jurisdiction has received your file, your application will be adjudicated in a timely manner... At this time, no further action is required by you. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by delays in processing".

Does anybody know exactly what this mean? Did my application get stuck and I just have to wait a little longer than the average filer on here or should I be worried?

The local field office would have your file for processing usually after the biometrics not before (unless they are working in reverse order now)!! You might be required to take biometrics or not but the best bet would be scheduling an info-pass appointment to find out exactly what's going on! take that letter with you as well. What is the receipt notice date printed on your NOA so we can add your info to the list correctly? Thanks and good luck to you.

Oh, I was not aware about the order that they are working in. I might as well go ahead and schedule an info-pass appointment, since it couldn't hurt, right?

Okay so I just realized I gave you the wrong dates in my previous post, these are the correct ones:

Date package was sent: 4/17/2015

Receipt notice date on NOA1: 4/20/2015

Just now getting back to Visa Journey. Glad to see we are not alone. Applied April 10 and biometrics on 5-13-15, nothing since then. Though my husband has a friend who actually works there and has done some investigating. Apparently the sector that does these is REALLY short staffed but the supervisor my husband's friend asked said in a few weeks should be getting the 10 year card. That there were no problems just not in the system we can see, but they can. Here's hoping that's right! We have a baby coming in January-February and I need this stuff to be over with!!!
