Just wanted to update you guys...biometrics notice arrived while we were out of the country (guessing somewhere around May 25) stating that the appointment was on June 2. No way we could make that appointment...will be taking the notice to the ACS today along with passport and trip itinerary to show what happened. Hoping they will do biometrics then and there...

Update: Biometrics successfully completed today 6/8/15 :dancing:

Just wanted to update you guys...biometrics notice arrived while we were out of the country (guessing somewhere around May 25) stating that the appointment was on June 2. We have the same NOA date as you and haven't received our biometrics appointment either! We called USCIS as soon as we passed 30 days from our NOA and made a service request. It's been a couple weeks since then and still no word. When we hit 2 months, I think we'll try to make an infopass appointment (as KASH2011 recommended). Wish we knew what was going on!!

August 2008 - met when we were both living in England

February 2009 - began dating

May 28, 2011 - got engaged

August 5, 2011 - got married (in England)

September 29, 2011 - moved to Mexico

VISA PROCESS:

December 3, 2012 - sent I-130 to Mexico City (DCF)

December 6, 2012 - I-130 approved

December 14, 2012 - NVC case number assigned and instruction letter sent from Juarez Consulate but we NEVER received it

March 4, 2013 - called to check about our case and received our NVC case number and Invoice number

March 9, 2013 - submitted DS-260 online

April 17, 2013 - interview date - visa approved!!!

July 11, 2013 - POE: entered US through Dallas, TX

July 22, 2013 - Social Security Card delivered

August 22, 2013 - Green Card delivered

We're a bit concerned too that it's taking so long, but for some perspective, there seem to be March filers who still haven't gotten their appointments. I'm thinking that it might depend on which support center we're required to go to and how long a wait they have. Let's keep hoping our letters will come soon!

August 2008 - met when we were both living in England

There are cases where biometrics is no longer needed since they will use your old bio but your have to call USCIS to make sure if you have to do it again or not.

N-400 process

That's true, and a nice detail to mention. While reading through last year's April thread I did see cases in which some people never got a biometrics appointment, and after calling and inquiring what their biometrics "status" was, they were informed that their biometrics were "current", therefore there was no need for them to go get them done again because USCIS decided to stick with their previous ones.

Not sure how that all works for USCIS, but... I thought it'd be something worth mentioning and sharing with those of you who are currently worrying about the process. Hope you get news soon ☺

Thank you for your inputs. I will call the uscis again to find out if we fall on that category or we still have to wait longer for our appointment. :)

either we don't need to get biometrics again or we need to wait a little longer is fine with me as long as we have an answer for this silence. :)

We went to info pass yesterday and asked the officer if we could get biometrics done same day, so he called and they agreed. Turns out hubby was scheduled for biometrics on May 14th, but we didn't get the notice.

08/01/12-Married08/17/12-Applied for Social Security Card09/23/12-Husband received his Social Security card!09/27/12-Filed AOS09/28/12-AOS package received10/01/12-Text message from USCIS10/03/12-Check cashed10/09/12-NOA1 for I485,I765,I131 AND Biometrics Appointment Letter10/24/12-Biometrics Appointment12/11/12-EAD and AP Approved-75 days12/14/12-EAD/AP Card Production ordered12/21/12-EAD/AP Card came in the mail06/22/13-Green Card Approved06/27/13-Greed Card Production Ordered06/29/13-Green Card came in the mail<p>

06/10/2015-Went to info pass appt. Hubby got a 1yr. Extension stamp in his passport and biometrics done

08/12/2015-ROC Approved. Got letter in the mail.

08/29/2015-received new card in the mail.
