Congratulations! I am so happy you finally got your interview date! This will all be a distant memory soon enough!

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

I am soooooooo relieved! My husband made it home safe from the army! Alhamdulillah he was dismissed after just 2 weeks!

I teared up a little seeing this. My father was in the Canadian military and when I was a small child, he got sent overseas quite often. I remember how scary that was and I am so glad your husband is safe.

What makes me so mad about all this is why should you or any of you be nervous and scared when you know your marriage and relationships are real, legit and above board!! Just makes me made when I see good people like all you all nervous and worried and why are we worried because we have to be judged YES judged by some human emotion Its a crying shame :ranting::protest: .

I am trying my damnest to fight. A CO is suppose to deny only when their is documented evidence of fraud or inadmissibility. Not a feeling, not a thought, "not a well seems like". Just pisses me off.

Hey guys. How are you? I spent the last couple of days in NH visiting family. I actually drove by the NVC one day - thought about you guys so much. It was really weird seeing the actual building and wondering how many of our documents are/were in there, or how many of you might have been on the phone with someone there or waiting to be on the phone with someone there at that moment. I agree 250%! I just had a heated discussion with the aid from my congresspersons office a couple of weeks ago about this very topic! He actually had the nerve to tell me that what happens at the interview is the responsibility of the beneficiary, and that if he gets denied because he answers wrong from being nervous, that is not my problem, and therefore should be none of my concern.

Can you beleive this sh*t?! Un freaking real!!! Needless to say, I have been bombarding the email of the congresspeople demanding a meeting to discuss these issues and I told them I will not stop until I am given a meeting or they lose their seat in office. I let them know I that while I have voted for them in the past, without a meeting, they will lose my vote, along with the votes of my family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and those that know me in the community as I will be sure to let everyone know they cannot rely on this congressperson to protect fight for them when it's really needed.

I have it set in my head! I will not stop until I find someone that will listed to me and agree to be my political voice! While I am slightly shy about my passionate writing, if anyone wants a sample letter to send to their senators and congresspeople, please let me know, I'd be more than happy to share it.

I love you Dewheel's you put it so perfectly, this is my case exactly all the documents are there i had to come back home for my parents and I have Dr's letters to prove it we lived together for almost two years, my husband even put his brother to work in the family business so we could be together day and night and they are telling us we are not a real marriage if we aren't then what is? Can't be because we don't have children because they have denied couples with children, this is just criminal and it needs to be urgently stopped!!! :cry:
