There isn't a way to check our status other then online?

As far as I'm aware the CEAC is the only place to check the status, up until you get the courier email. When is your wedding?

July 11, and our state has a 3 day wait for marriage licenses. Add in the holiday this week. I'm just worried.

I can't remember if I discussed this with you or if it was someone else, but have you looked into whether your state waives the three day wait if you do an online marriage counseling course? It was an option in Florida and we would have used it as a back up, had our dates pushed too dangerously close. Over here they deduct the cost of the course from the cost of the marriage license, and there was a minimum of four hours required before they issue the certificate (online) which you could then take to the courthouse when applying for the license.

Yes, and sadly our state doesn't do this. There's more to m story. As some know...my mom and grandfather died suddenly during this process. My grandmother had a massive stroke and we are clinging to hope that Scott gets here asap and she can witness our marriage. The Drs are not hopeful she will live long...I really need for his visa to be issued. Plus he misses Cole like any parent would too.

Call them up and ask about exceptions. My state has a 3 day wait also, but apparently it's easy to pop into a judge's office and get it waived.

They do a waiver called a "Quaker wedding" it's a weird process that many don't know about.

I'm so sorry Erin :( I hope this all works out in time for you. I wish I could offer you some hope or help, but I don't have anything to offer. What is your deadline for getting the passport, marriage license (including clearance time) and travel time for Scott to get there? There are still nine working days left until July 11th (that was our tentative back up date, ironically - good day for a wedding :) ) Once you get the email from the courier, you would be best to contact DX and let them know that Scott needs to collect it from the depot. When I called our local depot last month they told me that despite the fact that they have posted working hours, the depots are never unmanned so in the event of an emergency, and they do happen more often than we realize, they would be able to accommodate an out of hours pick up if it came down to a possibility of missing a flight.

Got to love the name! You could make honeymoon T shirts (to go with the I survived TSC shirts) saying: We did it Quaker style :D

Sadly he's having his delivered as he lives so far from a pickup point. Wonder how long that takes?

And I love the shirt! I needed a good giggle

Only an additional day, I believe. And they do deliver on Saturdays.

Go make your shirts ;)

The other thing that changes apart from the email is on the courier website. The status changes from 'check ds260' to 'Courier Shipping Number xxxxx' so that is another way you can check if the visa has been issued and is at the couriers.

Thank you. Still looks the same. Maybe tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new day

If the visa has been issued, NVC knows it because they are all connected. but getting somebody who is nice enough to tell you is another story. And you wait on hold so long for probably nothing.
