Medical is all booked. Long drive for him though and expensive to park lol. The secretary mentioned he should bring the letter saying it is at the embassy, however he hasn't received such a letter yet, even though we can see it is there and ready. We had to book it a few weeks out because of being stuck at work. He was gleefully happy today though. Not seen him that way in some time.

He'll definitely have the letter by the time of his medical. But as Deborah mentioned, none of us or our fiancés were even asked for it. They just need to know your LND number.

I don't want to bring up any bad feelings right now ...but what the H**L is going on with the visas?! I know the embassy tells you 7-10 days but I thought typically it was more like a 5-7 day wait. Is there some reason they're all of a sudden taking this long to get them out?? I can only imagine what you must be going through...thinking of you both

I've just received an email today that my visa is going to be in the depot by tomorrow. :dancing::dancing::dancing: Was really worried last week when I didn't receive any emails or text message. When was your interview, mine was on the 18th.

Somebody told me that maybe the K1 visas was processed together with the other non-immigrant visas. Thus taking so long, instead of being processed together with the other immigrant visas (CR1). Although I don't know the validity of this, but to me it kind of makes sense. I was reviewing other timelines, and most, if not all, got their visas within 1 week ( mostly 5 days), and weekends are already included in that count, not just working days. I was getting worried because even if there was a bank holiday, it was still longer than usual. Anyways, tomorrow I will see, if everything is alright. Definitely hoping to get my visa tomorrow.

If by now, you still haven't received any emails, hopefully it'll come by tonight or tomorrow. Don't bother calling the embassy, I was dragged into a loophole of voice prompts, mostly ending in dial tones. Hope it will be all sorted out soon for you as well.

Mine is the original post....I haven't seen Lee or the other May 18th interview post anything so that's who I was referring to. Unless they received their visas & flew out straight away and haven't had time to post. But if they've been waiting this long I can't even imagine how frustrated they must be right now. I was cautious to bring it up not knowing what is going on

I totally agree. That would drive me crazy. Our interview is on Friday. I haven't seen anyone post yet either. I am hopeful it is very quick to get it but I'm not going to hold my breath cause I know it probably won't be.

His interview isn't until June 15th- but since I have been stalking the timelines to get an idea of how long it might take to get the visa in hand...and seeing that most people seem to have them within a week...I was worried for you guys & really don't understand why yours has taken so long to get to you. But I'm soooo happy you've gotten news!! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

:D That was what I had been doing the past 2 weeks, stalking timelines, aside from twiddling my thumbs :D.. Well, tell your fiance good luck, and my advice to him is go to his interview early. I was working nights that time, and had only gotten to the embassy at 12:45, and by that time, I was already given the ticket I17. So it was not good timewise, because I had to stay from 1-03:30 in the afternoon. I was hungry , tired and very sleepy. Not to mention, I had to go back to work at 9pm that day. But that is all over now, and by today I had just my last shift and am off to the airport to fetch my fiance. :) Good luck to the last part of your journey, and see you on the next chapter .. for AOS :D

Good luck and enjoy!! Please keep us posted. Can't wait to finally get ours over Friday. We are just worried about the rail strike threat. Cause he was taking the train on Friday so keeping a close eye on it. :/

Sorry- just a question ...do you get to pick up the visa today or tomorrow? And with the exception of Memorial Day- is the embassy currently in operation on Mondays?
