Congrats and welcome!

Is it a UK Police certificate? If so I believe what I read on the embassy website is they are valid for a year. So that should be fine.

Just checked, UK Police certificate is valid for 6 months. I hope I will get an interview date by then, although never say never.

Did you send in your D-160 & Readiness form? It took ours 11 days from the medical & we had already submitted both those things.

Yes, we have done both those things. Possible slight delay due to the bank holiday?

According to london embassy they are valid for a year :)

"Police Certificates for the United Kingdom: If you have resided in the United Kingdom for 6 months or more since the age of 16, you are required to obtain a police certificate from the ACPO Criminal Records Office (ACRO). Further information is available from their website at www.acro.police.uk.

Note: UK police certificates are valid for 12 months only. Failure to present all necessary and valid police certificates at the time of the interview will incur significant delays to your application. "

See http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/application_documents.html#008if it helps :)

Hello all!! I was just hoping to get an idea of how long it took people to receive packet 4 after their medical? I am seeing ~11-15 days on average? My finance's medical was 11/5, last update on CEAC website was 14/5.. so I'm hoping tomorrow is the day!

Hope it will show up soon for you guys! Quite a few people called NVC as they can see once interview date has being assigned on the system, typically beats the post :) Although, might want to be persistent as some are nicer then others.

If his medical was on the 11th it's only been 10 business days. And yes, the embassy was closed yesterday as it was a holiday. Some people didn't receive their packet 4 for 2 weeks so you're still not really into any time frame that is uncharacteristic.

Petition hasn't left TSC yet. Why is every step of this thing so mentally and emotionally challenging?

I'm hoping it leave soon for you. Suspicion that last week they just couldn't be bothered to work at all - either it due to the bad weather, or people wanting to take long vacations with the holiday added in.

NVC is now finally working :) London has received our case and are ready. He'll get his medical appointment booked tomorrow. Unfortunately he wasn't able to get any time off work until the 15th, so it will most likely be then.

And... I'm still a little fuming at another government agency this morning. The online tax transcript service via the IRS has been taken offline now since Thursday... the only one available is the one by mail. :ranting:

Thanks. I can feel the rage building up in me again. I really thought I would feel better after being approved, but alas no, wbeem and everyone else were right. It's an emotional roller coaster the entire way.
