So I got an update on CEAC today and I am thinking its our interview date. I called NVC and they say they have no information and to call the embassy. I called the embassy and they say they cant tell me anything....im so frustrated...

Don't bother with the embassy at this stage. They probably won't communicate with anything of substance.

Call the NVC again and speak to someone else. I don't accept a "no"as a "no" until I've heard it three times from different people. Yes, I'm a pain in the a$$ when I want something but when you've put up with as much bull$hit as we have, Youre not calling them to make friends.

Nich-Nick will know this as I'm positive it was her post I recall reading.

When you (eventually) get the email from the embassy that your passport is with the courier, does that mean same day or next day for pick up? I'm doing a collection, not a home delivery.

Can you tell I'm preparing to start living on the edge again? :D

Have you received a notification Lee? How does that work after the interview? Does your CEAC status update to something? I'm ready to for sure live on the edge again....I want this over! :)

Nothing has changed. It still says ready. Today the creation date changed to today's date and the message beneath it changed too, but the status is the same. We don't expect the visa to be here before the end of next week at the earliest, at this rate. But I'm ready to get the ***** out of here and if it means collecting the passports on the way to the airport, that's not an inconceivable thing for me to do.

Delivery--- a general sense I have about delivery is that when you get notified, it is delivered the next day unless you are in some remote area difficult to get to. Several pick up people have gone straight to the depot when they got their email and the visa was available, even though the email said to pick up the next day. I remember somebody called the depot and asked if they could come get it and they were told no, not until tomorrow. So...leads me to think it's there when you get the email, but if you call and ask permission to come early, they say it's not here. And like everything, there can be differences.

There is a holiday Monday, so unless your visa is handed off to the courier today, the embassy won't be back to work until Tuesday. The courier will work on Monday if they have been given visas.

So probably let's say those are right and everything since we know it varies from case to case. But if it is would you say it would take then like 2/3 days to get to home delivery.

The courier doesn't work on Monday. I spoke to them yesterday and they will only collect it Tuesday if it's ready then. However if it only changes to issues on Tuesday then it's not likely to be collected before Wednesday so it will be tight.

Thanks for confirming, Nich-Nick. I recall a post of yours earlier this year but couldn't find it.

The courier can't collect from the embassy on Monday (American Memorial Day) when they are closed. If they got handed the visa today, then they could deliver on Monday (unless it is also a UK bank holiday.)

If you want to get a sense of timelines, start going through the chatty thread of the group just before you http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/534020-uk-vjers-progress-update-thread/

Shana, Chris, Pheebs, etc all have detailed timelines in their signature for interview, CEAC changes, delivery, etc. or you can find the discussion in the thread if you look at their visa received date and find the few days before that in the thread.

They seem to be discussing it around page 58....the most recent approvals/ visa issues. That thread is long so I had to search for it- but there's several people discussing their CEAC updates & receiving visas...

Do they work Saturdays? I was going through a bunch of UK timelines before and actually found someone who's visa was delivered (or picked up- it didn't say) on a Saturday....I didn't know if Saturdays counted or not

Yes, you're right. I think I worded my post badly.

It is a holiday here on Monday too so we accepted right from when we got our interview date weeks back, that wherever we are as at the end of the day, is where we will be until Tuesday.

Yes, that's the thread I've trawled through and it's where I took my information. Of course, if there's anything I've learned in this process, it's not to base things as gospel on anyone else's experience. I also noted that the interview to visa in hand time period for the last two members who received visas this week is longer than what it has been in the past. I expect that the change of interview times may have a bit more to it and is likely to have at least some kind of effect on timescales.

Yes, they do work Saturdays, but check your specific depot as the times vary slightly.

This thread will become the new tracking source for future posters :)

Changing topic slightly, but for anyone interested, I have been keeping a log of all CEAC updates with the times I noted the changes, as well as any reason for the change, if known. I started it as a log in a shared notebook so that William could keep up to speed with the time difference, but I intend sharing it on here for anyone else who loves statistics and logging things :D

I started logging the updates from when the NVC assigned a case number so it will be a start to finish by the time we have our visas.
