Hi all

I've not been very good at keeping up here the last few days. I'm finishing up at work end of next week and things have been a bit chaotic, including my mood at times

I noticed that the CEAC updated the day the issued the interview letter. It took two days to arrive. I also called NVC (the letter had been issued, but I didn't know at the time) and they gave me my interview date over the phone and said it had been assigned on Monday April 21st.

I'm not sure they pay attention to the intended wedding date if it is too soon. Our actual planned wedding date was at the end of May. WIth the interview date they assigned it was way too risky to stick with that date. If the visa takes more than 8 days to arrive (and there is a bank holiday the Monday after my interview so we have to expect that it will take a little longer) we may have been flying in the night before the wedding.

It's all a big mystery and like the rest of this process.

I tracked the case status updates while we were waiting and it updated as follows:

When the case arrived at the embassy

When the readiness form was received

When the medical results were received

when the interview date was assigned and the letter was issued

When the MRV fee was paid and appointment date confirmed

I hope that helps.

And yes, Deborah is correct that they won't do anything until they have everything they need from you, so they will consider you for an interview only once they have received the last thing they are waiting for, whether that be the medical results or the readiness form. I don't believe it makes an iota of a difference what you send first. Once they have it all, it seems to trigger the system to generate an interview date.

My CEAC entry was updated on 21st of April. OMG.

I emailed Embassy today. Hope I will hear from them soon. I don't think my date for interview will be closer then next week at least, judging by posts. I just hope :)

Thanks so much everyone for your posts as one does feel very lost without it!

Well, damn! I typed up a post earlier and submitted it and it doesn't seem to have uploaded.

Anna, call NVC. You have to listen to the menu options as it's not the same one that you use to get your case number. You select the one that says "If your case has already been received by your consulate ...."

Ask them to check if you have an interview date assigned. They can see it on their system. If they say they can't check it, tell them nicely that you are happy to hold, and please could they check for you.

I'm new to this forum. Scott's medical is may 11th and still waiting on an interview date. Hopefully we will hear soon??

They will not schedule an interview until the have received both your readiness form and information online as well as your medical results which take up to a week after your medical to get to embassy. So you will not hear anything I would guess for three weeks give or take after his medical assuming your readiness form and info has already been sent.

And welcome to the thread! :)

Also you don't show a date that embassy received your case or sent your packet 3 in your timeline? Have either of these things happened already?

Yes the readiness form was sent. Are they pretty quick at getting you in for interviews?

I'll update my timeline now. I thought I did...obviously it didn't update! Lol

Well they got our results on 4/30 and still waiting for a date. And once they schedule them they are normally 2-4 weeks out and sometimes more. But honestly it's all over the place so it's hard to tell. But once they get your medical results a few days after your medical then they will send you your packet 4 but it takes a couple weeks...

And thats ok its finicky sometimes like everything else haha

Expect to get a letter maybe the last week of May And an interview in the last half of June is my best guess.

Our interview is for around 5 weeks after the medical and readiness forms were received. There are a few people who submitted all their stuff a around the same time we did and some have their interview the week before us, others a week or even two afterwards. It's like a lottery.

Exactly. All this energy counting days gets you nowhere as far as planning because there is no exact pattern you can count on. Look at how variable London has been with K1s in this graph http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/images/london-k1doshistory.gif

As long as 100 days from NOA2 and as short as 50 days. Some of it is the people getting things done, but most on VJ are pushing it, so I would say a lot also reflects embassy processing. If everybody on VJ had a timeline and all those people who have Armenia as their consulate would put their actual consulate, it would even be more accurate.

Yes! Don't you often wish that the default for no data in that field was something like "Seriously questionable origin" or "Too ashamed to admit it"? I bet everyone would insert the beneficiary's country if they did that.

It feels so weird and exciting to be starting a new phase of things now. How long after receiving the NOA2 hardcopy should I call up NVC? Two or three weeks? Or should I not bother to call them up at all, and just wait until he should get notice in the UK?

All in all I guess I'm just trying to find a rough estimate of when everything will finally be complete... and I know that's hard to say now. We are hoping for a September wedding and I hope this will be still doable.
