Deborah, as a fellow TSC Survivor I recommend you tell Neil that he deserves a decent hotel for the night before the interview ;)

Alright cool I've been looking and of course he is like no way I can walk thats too much. I love him to death but I'm a hotel snob sometimes cause i want it to be clean and comfortable and he deserves a nice sleep the night before. But if he has his way then he will just go up on a super early train and come back that night loL! But we shall see. And I bet JamesRenee that was your medical results cause you guys did yours the day before us so ours will probably be this afternoon or tomorrow then. I figured they would update each time, one for medical,, then once more for interview letter. So hopefully that comes soon for the both of us. lol But we shall see. Just want to move on now. And the interview dates have been varying so much all over the place for london when they were just assigned. Thought I can't seem to figure out just why. Unless they try and accommodate the date you wish to travel etc.

This would be me. Fortunately, so is William, so I get no argument from him. In fact he said to me before I booked that if need be, he would pay for the hotel, but wanted to know I am safe and comfortable

They completely disregarded our intended wedding date. Even though we might still make the original date we wanted, it's just too close for comfort and not worth the risk or the stress. Had they assigned my interview just a few days earlier it would have been fine. We just moved our date for the wedding. Not much else we can do. And yes, at the time I was really upset, lol.

That stinks I was hoping you guys made it in time. And yes I would've been upset to. I'm not really cut out for wedding planning especially on a very small budget. It stresses me out. So that means there is no idea how they are picking the dates lol

It wasn't just the budget. Actually it was just a combination of feeling that there has been no end to be screwed over by an unfair system and also feeling like nobody seems to be taking our wedding plans seriously (because the approximate date has changed so many times). And I confess, upset is probably an under-statement. But we will still have our wedding and have it our way.

Who is going to take care of your daughter when you go on honeymoon?

Yeah exactly I totally understand that. It is a very weird difficult system. And for us we have a plan but no date. And my mom most likely. Her dad wil probably get her a few hours one of those days but I would imagine she'll stay with my mom during then. What about you guys?

We initially had a plan with no date, but then we had a rough idea when we expected to get our NOA2 and left ourselves some wiggle room and started looking around at hopeful dates that might work. But they kept changing. Funny how this changes your perspective on things. As time has gone on, so many things that used to be important, don't seem to matter in the big A cool, shiny new grandmother is only too delighted to have my daughter stay with her while we go away. :D They have a great relationship and they text back and forth and talk on the phone regularly which is so nice. I lucked out with awesomeness with my new family. I couldn't have wished for any better. I guess it's easy to get lost in the anguish of this whole process and sometimes forget how lucky we are. :)

Aww that's great that they have a good relationship

Unfortunately on both sides we are not as lucky. My mom and dad are really supportive but that's about it. But sadly I just recently lost my dad to cancer. And at the time Neil could not for over and that was pretty much the worst week of my life. As for his family they are not close and my family well I don't speak to most unfortunately. So yes it's great you have that support because I think it's great when people do. :)

If you're referring to your medical cost- you pay that at Knightsbridge when you go to your medical. No need to feel like a pest....that's what we're here for! :D

Once your interview is assigned, then you pay the visa fee online. They send intructions in your appointment letter. This is the page where you will pay for the visa and schedule the courier https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv

I think people go crazy because they don't wait for their instructions and read them on the website. It says--

The Interview

You will receive an appointment letter approximately 4 weeks before your scheduled interview date. The letter will confirm the date and time of your visa interview and provide instructions on registering for the courier service and paying the MRV application fee.

I'm going to put together an update to the guide, as it appears that the form may have changed since the pinned guide was written.

However, in the meantime, I can say that if you follow the instructions on the letter you get from the embassy, it is idiot-proof :D The only issue I had was that my banks thought my attempts to pay for visas might be fraudulent and blocked my cards until I called them up. Otherwise, no issues at all.
