Lol! I'm so happy for you all! Very exciting. No sadness this week, just ready to be able to move along.

Thanks, April (F)

It's been a rough wait, as you well know from personal experience. It's just so strange how there was nothing for months and months, and suddenly everything just happened in a few weeks. I am getting irritable now because I suddenly have nothing to do again but (here comes a cuss word) wait  for my interview appointment letter. I do not like waiting when I don't know how long it's going to be. Have I mentioned that before?

So much progress here! I hope I'm not in a thread all alone when my time comes!

We hope you will be here soon and even if it's after our cases have moved on you know we will most likely all still be around!

Yes!! Thank you for that update!! That made my morning!! :dancing::goofy: Question- when are you going to submit your D-160/ Readiness form?

His medical is next Friday and ours now says ready, even though there are 3 cases on their now lol! But we are going to do ours tonight since it says ready. Just he can't print the form, he'll have to save to file and print at work next week. But if yours is on the way you hopefully will be able to submit yours before you do medical. We probably won't get packet 3 so I will just have to print the sheet from the website or something cause we won't have anything to show them otherwise.

Yes, but they only deal with non immigrant inquiries. According to them. Where did you find the script about where they are with assigning interviews? I think it was you who posted about that. I also saw it, but I can't find the page it was on. That website is riddled with broken links and a bit of a pain to find some things.

Edit: I found it. Completely by accident, but it's there. They will probably move it to another page by the morning :D

And booo for that. And yes lol I always have to go ....hmmm now where exactly did I see that? lol!

You and me both. I just want to know the interview date so we can start planning everything. Wedding, honeymoon, family vacation etc... When are you guys going to book your flights? We have a voucher from Delta that should cover this one so we have been waiting obviously until we know the interview date. But I'm thinking to wait until we actually have the visa in hand and then book a flight about a week or so later. (He's already sold everything and his house and car haha so he is pretty much ready to get on a plane for the most part)

Although not a risk taker by nature, if it is a calculated risk, I tend to lean to the opposite extreme and chance things. I am going to book our flights as soon as our status shows issued. I won't wait to have the visa in my hand, but will make sure that I leave a few days in case the courier takes an additional day or two.

Yeah that's what we were trying to decide, to do it so many days after issue or wait until we actually receive it. I guess it will also depend on how long this process takes. lol But because of the voucher, I guess we could probably move it if needed and it would still be cheaper than a flight. (We only got the voucher because his last flight was 6.5 hours delayed and then an hour coming back and I'm 2 hours from the airport so it was very late when I actually got to pick him up. So they sent us a 600GBP voucher because of my not so nice email lol)

And apparently our case shows like that on the website because NVC automatically puts any of his kids on their just in case they come with him or at a later date since they have a year to come. So they automatically put them on their like that even though they aren't coming.

Ah, that explains it. I didn't realize he had children. You're right - NVC takes them from the petition form. At least you know now. The last 8 months have been filled with the unknown. I like knowing stuff :D

Over the last 24 hours I've been having some anxiety moments - not because anything is wrong or there is anything to worry about, but my tolerance for being kept in the dark is non existent.

I wish we could just plan our wedding and get on with it.

Oh yes he does. It's a weird one but k2 didn't apply to us so I never read up on it to realize they did that lol but he has a child at University and then a younger girl that actually lives over here.

And yes me too. My mood yesterday was pretty sour just because I want to be done and him here and get married.

We didn't have CEAC during our time, but his kids names were listed on the interview letter, even though nothing else indicated they wanted a visa. We just ignored it thinking it could be sorted in person at the interview if needed.

Yeah that's what I'm planning. Just roll with it and if they ask at interview he can address it. Because on ds160 we put that none were traveling with him or later and that his one daughter already lives in the states.

I am curious to those who have been to the medical. Do they really need your London police records on the day of the exam? My fiancée has only lived there a year and is actually Romanian. She did get her Romanian police record but I am worried she might not have her London one by the time of the appointment. Thanks for any help!

Hi,

Yes they do ask for them when you check in. I don't know if they will do the medical if you don't have them.

For the medical though you only need the UK police check correct? I know for the interview you need all of them from any country you lived in- but for the medical just the UK is required right?

I can only tell you my own experience, but I have two certificates as I needed one from another country too and I had to give both.
