Just checked and ours is in transit too!! Our files must literally be together lol ???? Exciting!!

Yes, I think they must be. :luv: I was way too excited by just that update. ^_^ Not that I've been checking every 15 minutes for the last two days or anything.

Files literally together reminded me of a visa story from this UK forum awhile back. So to take your mind off checking CEAC for a minute, I will tell you the story.

One of our forum regulars like yourselves finally got the visa and flew to the US. At POE they said he had the wrong file. It was somebody else in that sealed envelope. They couldn't really process his entry without his file. They did allow him to leave the airport and didn't send him home or anything. Because of confidentiality, they wouldn't tell him whose file it was or give him a contact number. They did say his name was very similar.

Meanwhile you can imagine another person is waiting and waiting to get their interview and London has no file on them. Or they might have been approved, but the visa and packet aren't being delivered because the file is missing. Sometimes there really is a problem.

Anyway we managed to find the other person here on VJ almost immediately....a real VJ family effort. He wasn't a regular here in the UK forum but saw posts like ...ARE YOU JOHN SMITH FROM THE UK???? Maybe he was a lurker who was here but never posted. The two guys had the same first and last names and were processing in London days apart. I wish I could remember the rest of the details...like maybe similar fiancé name. It was so weird. But through VJ they found each other quickly, exchanged contact info, and solved a government uh-oh that could have taken a month to sort if left to the government timeline. The packets got sorted quickly and they got their happy ending not too delayed. Gotta love VJ.

Haha- well after being stuck at TSC the littlest updates seem like a celebration! Once the medical is over I'll really feel like the end is in sight ?

Yes that is very true. That wait was so awful. But now the 5 days in transit seems like an eternity. haha It should already been delivered this morning according to DHL but still says in transit. Ahhhh I'm so impatient lol But I want to get this show on the road as they say. But also I want to make sure and send a thing as soon as it shows they have it so that I can submit an inquiry with a change of address for him.

Nich-Nick,

Thank you for your reply. We did just send off the contact form, with everything you suggested but the medical date. We did give them a date which we wish to be married, June 19th 2015.

Is that recommended/okay?

Did you guys get a response back about your case?

I'm going to guess not yet. They take about 2-3 days to reply to messages through the contact form. I sent a message on the weekend regarding my change of address and hope to hear back from them today, but accept that it may be as late as Friday to get a reply.

Urgh. Have I mentioned that I can't stand waiting in the dark? :P

Our transit took a bit longer than others, but that was definitely because ours left just before the weekend. Those weekend days are dead days and count to us, but not for business. Starting to dislike any process that starts too close for Fridays now.
